The appallingly inconsistent umpiring against Sweet compared to his opponent in recent weeks has left him second guessing what he can and can’t do and his form has dipped as a result. I’d love to also blame Lobbe so I will throw that in for good measure.

It’s a big issue. I see he is number one for hit outs in the afl but heard we are 4th worst for clearances differential. Real disconnect between his taps & our mids.I am dismayed at some of his taps.
Wins the ruck contest easily
But palms it straight to an opposition midfielder.
It's like he's just after the hitout stat this year.
I wouldn't mind seeing a bit of that myself.BZT in.

you play the 23 year old who shows effort and intensity with a good attitude, the bloke who will be part of our future. Over a bloke who has the worst body language and infects our whole team.Power Pete’s suggestion of finlayson for lord is not that ridiculous Is it? Lord hasn’t done much and I thought finlayson has looked pretty good at SANFL level.
My opinion is that Lord has actually exceeded my expectations. Granted, I didnt have much coming in to the season for him but he's competed every time and if you look at the goals that our smalls score, a few of them have come from Lord's impact.Power Pete’s suggestion of finlayson for lord is not that ridiculous Is it? I must’ve been watching different games over the weekend because I thought Finlayson was showing a lot more effort and intensity. I thought he was lively. Working his way up and down the ground, 6 tackles.you play the 23 year old who shows effort and intensity with a good attitude, the bloke who will be part of our future. I did notice he made a couple poor decisions but he was having a crack and had a fair bit of involvement in the game.Finlayson burned his team mates a couple times and had a few crap shots at goal vs a poor South team.
If he does well against Centrals I'd consider bringing him back.
Lord has been fine tbh, as long as Finlayson has a body on him he stops competingI must’ve been watching different games over the weekend because I thought Finlayson was showing a lot more effort and intensity. I thought he was lively. Working his way up and down the ground, 6 tackles.
Lord couldn’t get near it, I want to see a lot more effort and intensity from him. We can’t keep picking him based on potential, he needs to start doing something.

I'm normally the first one to say something about Lord when he's had a bad game, but this is a new level. He's not been trash whatsoever. Lord just doesn't have the tank to ruck and play out a full game.lol lords actually been trash. Only getting games purely because hes tall. Pulls out 2/25 random games where he kicks a bag then the other 23/25 is him losing contests; running under the ball, getting beaten to the ball, giving away frees, kicking at goal as well as john butcher, being unable to outmuscle his opponent and barely chase. Swans realised this in the last and used his defender as an extra on mitch because Lord was that useless.
One contested mark for a 197cm presumably now 100kg ish KEY forward for the whole year thus far is incredibly poor.

Lord was great V Hawthorn, a real out of the box performance. Then he was horrible V Sydney, back to the Lord we've seen in the past, totally mistiming contests, too worried about the man, completely ineffectual.
I'm not sure you can drop him though, after the Hawks game and with our injuries, you've gotta persist with him this weekend.
