The appallingly inconsistent umpiring against Sweet compared to his opponent in recent weeks has left him second guessing what he can and can’t do and his form has dipped as a result. I’d love to also blame Lobbe so I will throw that in for good measure.

I am dismayed at some of his taps.

Wins the ruck contest easily

But palms it straight to an opposition midfielder.

It's like he's just after the hitout stat this year.

On behalf of All Richmond supporters
Destroy this mob - 100+
:D .. On behalf of All Port supporters Yes, Normally we would say destroy the cows like 2017 and it will be a deal

but instead of this we will help Richmond by driving down North Melbourne's 1st round draft pick (which Richmond own) so it goes past Melbourne's 1st round pick (that Essendon own) and be the NEW 2nd pick in the 2025 draft ...

Then you will have to do a deal with us, so Port and Richmond talk.... about swapping Richmond's 2026 first round pick for Ports 2026 first round pick (with possible change to make the difference) - TIC :D:D:D

It’s a big issue. I see he is number one for hit outs in the afl but heard we are 4th worst for clearances differential. Real disconnect between his taps & our mids.
Really think Visentini should get a run
Or give sweet a good kick up the bum
Wouldn’t hurt to rotate rucks a bit
I thought Grundy got on top & killed him
With our midfield we should be doing a lot better at clearances

Power Pete’s suggestion of finlayson for lord is not that ridiculous Is it? Lord hasn’t done much and I thought finlayson has looked pretty good at SANFL level.
you play the 23 year old who shows effort and intensity with a good attitude, the bloke who will be part of our future. Over a bloke who has the worst body language and infects our whole team.

My opinion is that Lord has actually exceeded my expectations. Granted, I didnt have much coming in to the season for him but he's competed every time and if you look at the goals that our smalls score, a few of them have come from Lord's impact.

I dont question his work ethic, but what I do question is his forward craft (and I still do). I don't think he's got the craft to nudge his opponent and take a mark, or identify space and lead. But what he does do well is compete and bring the ball to ground.

Finlayson at SANFL level hasn't looked as good as he should be. He should be dominating at that level for the skillset he possesses. Its purely an attitude issue and I haven't seen enough to bring him back into AFL.

I must’ve been watching different games over the weekend because I thought Finlayson was showing a lot more effort and intensity. I thought he was lively. Working his way up and down the ground, 6 tackles.

Lord couldn’t get near it, I want to see a lot more effort and intensity from him. We can’t keep picking him based on potential, he needs to start doing something.

Finlayson burned his team mates a couple times and had a few crap shots at goal vs a poor South team.

If he does well against Centrals I'd consider bringing him back.
I did notice he made a couple poor decisions but he was having a crack and had a fair bit of involvement in the game.

Lord had 2 kicks for the entire match.

Lord has been fine tbh, as long as Finlayson has a body on him he stops competing

lol lords actually been trash. Only getting games purely because hes tall. Pulls out 2/25 random games where he kicks a bag then the other 23/25 is him losing contests; running under the ball, getting beaten to the ball, giving away frees, kicking at goal as well as john butcher, being unable to outmuscle his opponent and barely chase. Swans realised this in the last and used his defender as an extra on mitch because Lord was that useless.

One contested mark for a 197cm presumably now 100kg ish KEY forward for the whole year thus far is incredibly poor.

I'm normally the first one to say something about Lord when he's had a bad game, but this is a new level. He's not been trash whatsoever. Lord just doesn't have the tank to ruck and play out a full game.

Fwiw, I think his ceiling is low and if we get a 2nd round offer this year I'm taking it. But the narrative that he's been bad since returning is just not fair. He's not a contested marking type player and I've always said that.

I just can't get over that poor attitude of Finny.

I think he needs to show something above and beyond, not just decent form, to come back in.

I'd keep Lord although he's not perfect but worth persisting with.

Lord was great V Hawthorn, a real out of the box performance. Then he was horrible V Sydney, back to the Lord we've seen in the past, totally mistiming contests, too worried about the man, completely ineffectual.

I'm not sure you can drop him though, after the Hawks game and with our injuries, you've gotta persist with him this weekend.

I watched the first half again last night, and Grundy was holding, scragging, blocking in nearly every contest and Sweet didn't get one free. Just a punch in the guts for his troubles.

I would've thought Moraes would be dropped. He's been on the verge of it for a few weeks, very reactive, second to the ball, needs more time and confidence. Richards will come back, that's a no brainer.

I'd probably push Atkins to sub again, and let Tommy C get a full game in the SANFL, rather than push him to sub. Could see them pulling Berry back in.

IN: Richards, Berry
OUT: Moraes, Cochrane

I expect BZT to play for the Magpies. Should be a huge in for them, given how fragile the backline looked with Walsh & Marshall last week.

If Luko and Marshall were fit and firing would he struggle to get a game?

I can see Luko and Rozee being book ends on the 50m arcs with Carr, both elite kicks.

Mind you Marshall I fear won't stop getting head knocks which might end his career early.
