Came in here expecting an idiotic McEntee pile on despite the fact that he's been objectively one of our better players across the past two games and you guys didn't let me down, great job!
Never understood what you see in that talentless hack. Came in to do a role, not because he earned his spot, yet got 0 tackles against the Cats. He’s not even a good pressure forward, and that’s what people claim he’s supposed to be.

To be fair, as a defensive forward, I reckon DBJ is even worse. He got absolutely reamed by Humphries last week.

100%. Not to mention his body composition. I know it's not the nicest thing in the world body shaming someone on an anonymous internet forum, but the fact he let himself go mid-year, for whatever the reason and circumstance and has been rewarded, along with his shit form in the seconds. These are the sort of standards we're setting here? Dyl Williams is slow though.
It’s not shaming him how he looks though, he doesn’t have the elite fitness that he needs to be successful in the afl that’s the issue

And port Adelaide sucks for allowing it to get to this point.

It’s not like he rocked up to training one day and suddenly had a massive beer gut

Jackson won’t get delisted, he deserve another year after showing a bit in 9 games thus far.

I actually thought Mead and McEntee were okay against the cats, so they weren’t getting dropped for Jackson.

Getting Moraes in so Jackson can get a full game in the sanfl is a sensible choice.

How has Jackson been treated poorly. He’s got 9 more games this year than I was expecting, if you asked me at the start of the year I would’ve said an almost certain delisting. He’s got a chance and has saved his career.

No one is trading for him either.
Mead was ok against the Cats?

We’re watching different games.

Rioli has class but there is no way he’s turned his fitness around in 2 weeks, the only hope is that his foot is ok now and he can move around well again despite being overweight.

With Moraes and Jackson, I’d have them both in. Jackson could play half forward, Moraes wing.

Fine with Whitlock getting dropped, at least he’s been given a taste of the level, Ramm should get the same opportunity instead of wasting our time putting Lachie Jones on key forwards and running Aliir into the ground.

He had 18 @ 77% which sounds ok, but mostly sideways, short nothing kicks..

He’s not damaging with his possession, doesn’t create opportunities and does fk all defensively

Hinkley kept saying they’ve been planning for next year, well why they’re prioritising Mead over Lorenz / Jackson just adds to the dialogue of Hinkley being a ****ing moron

He'll probably retire mid-season and play fireman for six months.

Makes no sense. My eye test tells me that Jackson has a lot more to offer than Mead and McEntee combined. He spent two weeks as sub, which itself made no sense. Then dropped. So much for developing his game for next year.
There's no good way to spin their selections. It's either:
1) Hinkley overruling Carr, in which case the likes of Davies and Koch continue they show they are weak as piss. Finals now officially done (after unofficially from within a few rounds) and they still let Ken dictate as if he's going to be there next year.

or 2) Carr is happy with these decisions, in which case, whilst obviously it'll be better than having Hinkley next year, puts his judgement on players worth immediately forefront.

In any case whichever option it is, it shows the club remains a clown show.

Reckon Carr rates Mead which worries me no end.
Have no idea how he considers McEntee.

Nah. AFL footballers are free game for body shaming, as it regards their performance. They aren't meant to be fitness models, but when it's clear their body composition is negatively affecting their work performance - a performance they get paid multiples 99% of AFL players would earn elsewhere - it's free game.

[Begin Old man rants at clouds]It's bullshit they dropped showing player weights and skinfolds, because AFLW players didn't want the same scrutiny and the men still showing it would have looked hypocritical. [/End rant]. I get the AFLW position, as at the semi-professional (big emphasis on the semi-part) league, being held up to the same standards as the full time AFL wouldn't be fair. The AFL just could have said that and left the men's info available, rather than the usual AFL, worst of all worlds solution to a non-problem.

To be fair there is another option. That is Carr is happy to give Mead a sustained run as a midfielder to see if he has anything to offer at all. Because last week I saw him on ball about as much as the last 4 seasons combined.
Mead can only play as a midfielder give him the rest of the season in there to see if there is anything good. If not he plays SANFL for a season before being delisted.

I assume Mac and Cheese is there at the insistence of Donuts. I feel sorry for him. If he is going to fail at least let him fail at what he is...and that's not a small forward.

lol - as if people will hold off on fat shaming until they can reconcile what their eyes are telling them with the AFL's officially published player weights.
