I wonder if Port will ever explore SPP as an centre bounce mid again? He does have offer some physicality and bite despite his limitations.

He had some good moments in the middle today with his physicality.

You know that he will at least make the oppositions players earn their footy with his attack on the ball and tackle hard which our mids can’t seem to do.

He was part of our midfield rotation in 2020 and was pretty good but they've seemed to prefer him as a forward since then. As a forward I think he's very scrappy and kills a lot of promising plays with his fumbles and dropped marks (this is true of most of our forwards to be fair).

based on todays efforts we will lose this one easily but you just don’t know what you are going to get with port. Everyone thought we would get smashed by hawthorn too but we were 12 goals up against them halfway through the second quarter.

Such is the emotional response nature of this team, getting smashed today probably helps our chances.

But I would like to see Visentini and Jackson in, and like davesnothere even though I don't think Whitlock is ready, I wouldn't be mad if he was picked.

They'll just clog our scoring and smash our poor defensive structure on the counter.

Will get very ugly. We're an absolute rabble. Today was not just an expected loss, it was again an absolute capitulation. When things aren't going our way, you cant just help but feel that these sorts of losses are coming, and it is happening more and more regularly. If theres 1 team thatd thrive off the potential to cause such a result and our fade outs it'll be the Crows.

Its not even about how good they are, just how shit we are.

Depends which port turns up, being a systemless group we rely on energy from emotion. Normally you know pretty early if we are on.
