Why has Vickery not been given a crack?

Was just watching some of the draft highlights from that cohort and he was really impressive.

I remember in our R1 clash he was given probably a 50:50 role between forward and ruck.

Could definately help relieve some pressure on Riewoldt.

Any chance for this weekend?

His form hasn’t been great in the VFL and Browne and Graham at the moment are better options in the ruck. Not too sure how he travelled over the weekend?

I agree he could be used as a forward and think Hardwick might go down this path.

Gourdis MUST be chosen this week replacing McGuane.

reckon McGuane was given a run fwd in the hope that he might get a couple of easy goals and attract some attention to - free up Jack, improve trade value.

Still, no need to chuck in the towel after a handful of quarters fwd. Trying to squeeze this in without having to go back to Coburg to practice the role 1st didnt pan out, but wont hurt to give it another go here and there.

Ditto Goo - play up forward in the Burgers 1st before coming into Tigers' fwd line. Love to see him come in to defence though, Catltank have an excess of talls, so would be good to bring in Goo v Carlton.

As to Thursty playing fwd, well, I guess they just realised that ther wasint a match-up for him in the Melb fwd line and had accidentaly left him in the side and just thought theyd give him a go to see if he can finally get a goal.

Actually prefer not to have Thursty this week - with Betts and Garlett & possibly Yarran crumbing well, they will mop up his spoils and hurt us, - may as well just let their talls take the friggen grab and kick points from set shots. - Bring in the Goo!

I agree with you though. Our sloppy at time defenders will be a treat for Carlton’s small forwards. Who else do we have though to play on these type of players?

i suppose he could say little else.
had a real laugh at the keeping the core group together and finishing strong with momentum.

momentum for what next yr. the last 3 games maybe 3 losses will be well and truly forgotten come next yr but the blooding of players wont.

sorry chris the yr is shot and it maybe next yr as well. the only thing that matters atm is playing and finding young players who can take us forward.and getting as many games into those we are sure will take us forward.

if it means your good mates like mcguane white tuck king jackson graham etc are denied a few games late in the season so be it.

sheesh i hope you lot at the club have not already forgot what this season is about.

for me i have no doubt the season should finish with the following sort of team selections.

Something tells me this might not be the week. Like O`Rielly, the club generally tell debutants early in the week if they are playing, and if the Goo has been told it has been a secret well kept. Hope im wrong, as im hanging to see him play.
