Drop Jonas now??? Come on he's been doing his job. How about drop Boak, Wingard, Schultz, Lobbe, and bring in people's favorite SANFL players cos of a over reaction. Our backline isn't the problem, they held West Coast to 78 points. Our problems are structures around the midfield where we are getting beaten. Fix the midfield structures, get back to what we do best with the running game. Atm we seem to concerned with stopping the opposition rather then go and attack the game. We aren't handling the pressure well atm but we do sit 3-3 a game off 2nd. A few minor adjustments and we will get back to what we need. I feel 15 wins should get us top 4 this year and it's only a matter of going 12-4 from here. Just have some faith in our best side. Knee jerk reactions won't solve anything at this stage.

OUT:
Young- had an opportunity with wines getting injured to cement his spot in the team, has failed to make an impact for the second week in a row. Hate it but someone else must be given an opportunity.

Mitchell: Past few weeks he has played pretty well IMO. Didn't set the world on fire last night though. Probably a tad unlucky.

Jonas: Purely because of match ups with Brisbane. Would rather have an extra small defender aka impey

In
Amon: An opportunity. Has earnt his spot in the team. See what he can do at AFL level.

Wines: assuming he is 100%.

Impey.

Sub: Amon

OUT: White, Young
IN: Impey, Moore
SUB: Mitchell

I'd have some reservations about sticking Moore straight back in after a few weeks off, but Young has had two poor games in a row for mine. Impey picked himself as by far the best player for the Maggies.

Not sure why people are wanting to drop Arch. Or Wingard (wat!?) for that matter.

Mitchell's rain makers and his constant awful kicking should at the very least get him demoted to the sub.

As long as Butcher or Neade don't come in for him I'm happy.

Speaking of poor kicking. Jonas poor kicking is standing out lately.

He wouldn't be that far off the bit and would've well and truly recovered from the hamstring he was coming back from when he molested that umpire.

While match fitness is a completely different beast to training/match-sim, I'd get his big body straight in there against the Lions, even if he was to be heavily rotated with Ah Chee.

Yep, this is exactly what I'd be doing. Give them both the equivalent of half a game and give our other mids some protection. No good having a Joe Montana in the pocket such as Gray if you don't have a great centre and offensive guards.

Ah Chee to play a full game, I like the fact just before he took that massive handball he went and owned that mark, rather than leaving it for Wingard. Need more players to own it.

What do you guys think about Tom Clurey coming in as a midfield tagger this week?

He has done great jobs on Panos and Kirkwood and If Cornes is having a rest, I think it would be valuable experiance to give him a game this week against a bottom team.

If it works out well and Cornes retires after his 300th, we may have found his immediate replacement.

Nervous about Clurey as a mid for no reason other than he has been raised as a defender and the gap between Sanfl and AFL. I like the idea of it but is Moore a better option? This on the assumption Ollie gets one more week and Young is out. Moore will be fit.

Drop Jonas now??? Come on he's been doing his job.

Jonas was better last night but he has been getting 'pantsied' lately ('pantsied' maybe a tad harsh but Tom's form has not been up to 2014) . He is hard for sure but Tom's lack of pace has shown up this season. I think Clurey has to get a chance at some stage and Jonas for Clurey is the logical swap. That does not mean forever because if chosen Clurey would need to show something. Being a top side means you have pressure being put on those who are in the side and Tom is under some pressure atm.

Clurey is not a midfielder as from what I have seen pace is not his forte if he comes in it should be as a defender. If we are looking for a midfielder then maybe it has to be Impey who will not get a gig in defence after Krakouer's game last night.

The future use of this sentence should be a cardable offence on this board....
No disrespect to Brisbane, Just saying it's a good opportunity to try something new against slightly easier opposition that could turn out to be good move in the long term. Worried about who Cornes's replacement can be.

I'm not. The tagger is a dying breed. Freo are an infinitely better team without Crowley, I think it'll be a similar story for us.

Want to bring Impey in, but that's too many defenders. I'm not sold on Pittard moving into the middle, he does the rebound job off halfback well most weeks.

Jonas' form is a slight worry but I am of the opinion he has plenty of credit left in the bank.

We need another solid mid at the stoppages, is Moore likely to be fit enough after 3 weeks on the sidelines?

White's disposal only got found out last night because he was the only player capable of breaking the lines so we went to him more often than not on the wing trying to get out of defence. This is where the loss of polly really hurts us; he's another line breaker with better disposal inside 50.

McStay and Andrews have been in good form carlile and hombsch should go to them and trengove to the resting ruck;leunberger/martin
what scares me is their mossy fleet. We all know we struggle with small forwards so impey in is a must. O'shea and clurey may be a good idea (can keep up against smalls in terms of endurance and speed and their height means they're able to pick off marks in the air) if ken was relentless and swung the axe but I don't think its time yet, not panic stations. Jonas could also take one of them if someone gets pushed up the ground; krak/pittard. GOod to hear ebo and schulz are fine. The midfield battle is going to be very interesting beams, Christenson, rockliff although our mids have more support will they increase their work rate? up to them.

Zorko-Pittard
Green-Impey
Christensen/Taylor-Krakouer

IN: Impey
Out: Young

wines (if fit), & impey in.

mitchell, ah chee out.

pains me to say ah chee as i would love to see him play some more minutes, but someone has to make way for ollie. mitchell won't get dropped, i have a feeling young's head is on the chopping block. would move jars back in to defence & move krak up the ground.
