It's the most compelling issue to be discussed coming from the game. Lobbe is a deadset liability. Smashed in clearances and the opposition ruck was near BOG and had a ridiculous number of hit out to advantage. We can only be thankful Dangerfield wont be on the park next week to tear us a new one.

Serious question: where does the "ridiculous number of hit out to advantage" stat come from? Do we know what Lobbe's were?

wouldnt be so sure about that, watched him very closely as i backed him to kick 2 and 3 goals for the game, spent quite a big chunk of the last qtr off in 2 blocks, especially the first 7-8 minutes when you need the leader out there, he was on the bench. went on for a few minutes, couldnt kick the ball over 20 metres, went off again, came back on, took a mark 30 out directly in front, dished it off to a bloke running past. all this screams leg issue to me.

The Lobbe situations is incredibly overstated and incredibly over exaggerated on this board. I thought Lobbe had a decent game on Sunday, not great that's for sure, but decent. I think he held his own which is all he needs to do this year.

One thing I do know for sure, a 19 year old who we're trying to turn into a ruckman, would get completely murdered against Sam Jacobs. Seriously it would be a bloodbath. Thats how you wreck a players confidence.

I want someone to make sure old man Thompson isn't getting as much of the pill as last showdown!! Our midfield needs to improve drastically this week and our strictures have to be in place before three quarter time. The cows are more fluent and practiced in their play then the saints and won't just go away.

All that said, leave Lobbe bring in Toumpas, Amon or Young for White.

I want someone to make sure old man Thompson isn't getting as much of the pill as last showdown!! Has the leap and if he connects with the ball you know it's going where he wants it to go. I think he did a bit of third man up in the preseason games? Ollie the other option but I would rather he stays at ground level.

I was just thinking , we were obviously going to play both Paddy and Charlie together , who else could realistically Ruck , bring the ball/pack down in marking contests , stand a KPF Physicaly imposing himself on an opponent and have half a chance of playing a KP himself ? , Butch !.
