Duggan instead of sheed is a surprise so I guess they aren't convinced sheed is match fit

No Jetta and they persevere with Redden

Wonder if Schofield is an omission or still an out due to concussion

The brown experiment lasted 2 games

2 games longer than they needed to know the result....

simmo was obviously trolling bigfooty and saw my posts wanting emac to come in for barrass.

Odd changes considering the form of Duggo and Nelson in the WAFL. I guess you can't keep putting up with lacklustre performances in our team hence Pat and Hutch are out for some youth with our future in mind.

Suggest Sheed is not ready!

It will be a tough contested game

Club said he was sore - huge knock on the final siren, if so give him a rest.

yep.

As much as I want him too I doubt Sheed is going to "impact" the midfield anywhere near as much as we hope.

Stoked about Jacko getting a run. Hoping Duggan puts in a big effort.

Emac I'm experiencing some ambivalence. Hopefully the defence looks OK and not out of kilter with him back.

Looking forward to Giles bashing into Gawn like a demented campaigner.

Watts Hogan Dawes. Means shep is going to have to play tall

Nope.......... I reckon that Barrass, "The Big Easy" and Gov got that trio of Melbourne tall's covered.

Happy with those changes!

Jetta couldn't come in after being dropped and then not playing last week.

I like the changes, but we need to find ways of getting Duggan the ball more on the outside, build up his confidence, he always seems to be getting it in close and getting tackled and at this stage doesn't have the physical strength to break it. Giles needs to be a battering ram and bruise big Maxy

Redden is next out if he doesn't have a blinder and sheed in

Love that backline. If EMac brings his WAFL form it's one of the best in the league. One of our more balanced squads I think.
3 good contested/intercepting marking KPD's in one side is insane. Most clubs would love to have one. If this becomes our settled defence for the nest few years, then our defence will be very strong. shep, gov, barrass, emac, bunga and wellingham are either great intercept/contested marks or and/or are great readers of the play.

Melbourne are quite unpredictable this year.

On paper their midfield should and probably will beat us up - Viney's been huge this year, Jones is a bull and Petracca and Brayshaw are big units too. They perhaps lack a quality outside runner like Gaff but are otherwise pretty well stacked.

That said, they were dismal against the Saints the other day in the kind of physical contest they should in theory have been suited to. They're quite a young side so I guess it depends a lot on how switched on they are.

I would like duggan to spend more time in a half back flank, if he isn't in the middle. HFF is not working for him.

I'd say Redden will play more out of the middle instead of a flank this week. Duggan can play more outside.

Happy to see Schofield out and Emac trialled with the others.

3 games i think it was... and 3 too many.

Sheed in (probably at the expense of Butler) and Nic Nat in for Giles, and suddenly that is a very strong team on paper - assuming they can find just a scrap of form.
