He may have pulled up sore, or the club has decided no risks. It's awkward though as there's no VFL this weekend (and I'm unsure if he'd be able to play even if there was due to it being a final).

I was hoping he would maybe take the sub role this week, but i'm fine with this. The coaching / fitness staff know better and if they deem too big a risk he pings his 4th / 5th calf for the year in a game like this because he's only had one limited minutes VFL game, then I'm ok with that. The other part is we have a pretty full midfield rotation at this stage so you're either forcing him in there and pushing Libba / Kennedy etc out or playing Treloar out of position on a flank somewhere.

Not too upset about this.

Treloar is a great player but our midfield mix is working well. Adding Treloar won’t make our defensive structure any better.

Hope we offer him a one year contract and see if he can get going in 2026.

Yeah I was just looking at CBA percentages and there's not really any players I'd want to be missing time in there for Treloar at this stage.

You could make an argument if Sanders or even Freijah were getting high numbers but they're at 9% and 19% respectively.

Yeah that's what I was struggling a little with, where he would play and why I was hoping for sub role if he was in, which makes that a bit easier.

The only player you could probably justifiably take minutes from is Riley Garcia but even that would be harsh as he's done nothing wrong, and even then he's only at 25% of them.

I felt like Garcia did a fair bit right. Sanders struggled more than Garcia.

Are you guys hearing they are looking to inject VDM into the forward line? That is the rumble.

I think it is an error when we have Treloar who is a more experienced and better user of the football than VDM.

Also a concern, if VDM is in it looks like Garcia may be a sub which is a complete waste of Garcia. Like Westy, I have been a fan of Garcia from Day 1. Built for the tough sh*t.
