I must be watching a different player, here are his opponents stats the past 3 games -

Dyson Heppell - 39 Disposals - B.O.G
Scott Pendlebury - 31 Disposals , 11 Clearances
Patrick Dangerfield - 27 Disposals, 6 Clearances and 1 goal

I know it's not all about stats but that doesn't scream ''revelation'' to me.

We would be better off having Sheed or College play on-ball at the moment and ditching the tag completely.

You obviously weren't watching the games, or listening to the post game press conferences. Heppell had absolutely no impact on the game til half time while Hutch was on him. Then Heppel was switched to half back where Simpson left the back line guys to cover him and he ran riot, forcing Simpson to switch Hutch back onto him late in the game to try and shut him down again.
Pendlebury is either the best midfield player in the game or second best depending on your taste, and he had very little impact on that game. He may have had 31 possessions but 99 percent of them were under pressure so he didn't have time to be dangerous. They were mostly dinky little handbills and one goal.
If you think Dangerfield was influential in that game you must of been watching another game.

Sheed or College get about ten possessions between them and gave very little impact on the game (granted they haven't played many), whereas even if a Hutch is not tagging he can rack up 30 plus possessions, kick goals and often features in scoring chains where he works the ball from the back line to the forwards through his running. He's been kicking well since he had decent run of games and has started to gain confidence so you can't fault him for that either anymore, so this constant under appreciation of him as a player and a tagger is just crazy. But hey, Magginity can tackle occasionally so let's keep him in the side coz he's got mongrel eh? No skill, but mongrel. ;)

I think Coxy has to come out and play just the 2 ruckmen. Maybe 1 more shake if we make the finals?..........although I did love Bunga constantly looking for Coxy at the end of the game:thumbsu:

Sheed to play full game and Carter to get another crack

Tempting to leave out McGinnity and bring in Tunbridge but we may need to lock down on GC mids. Tunbridge would have been better to play Melb and McGinnity left out and play GC.

OUT: Cox, Hill
IN: Natanui, Colledge

Hill has been good not sure why you want him out .

He's a terrible kick. Regularly misses basic targets.
Yes it is, he can't hit a target to save himself. People just love him on here for some reason so they overlook it.
Nah, his kicking isn't too bad, he just has the occasional howler. He's underrated on here.

Well I am going to this game, will fly up and have some nice seats.

Should be a cracker. Hopefully by the first bounce our finals chances are in our hands.

I thought he was lazy against Essendon, slightly better against Melbourne but I think a Colledge would provide more defensive pressure get more of the ball and still get 3 marks and a goal

Yeah ok if you see it that way , Hilly has been really made to earn his spot this year and I can see he's putting effort in to chase and tackle .What Simmo likes is his clean hands and foot skills when he has the ball .

Sure but conceding 100 Disposals in 3 games is hardly a ''revelation''.

Sheed or College get about ten possessions between them and gave very little impact on the game (granted they haven't played many), whereas even if a Hutch is not tagging he can rack up 30 plus possessions, kick goals and often features in scoring chains where he works the ball from the back line to the forwards through his running.

Sheed and College do not get played on the ball for majority of a game either so we'll never really know until that actually happens.

Also Hutchings has had 30+ Disposals once this year and kicked multiple goals once. Not to mention he's not exactly the type of player we want getting 30+ in the midfield.

But hey, Magginity can tackle occasionally so let's keep him in the side coz he's got mongrel eh? No skill, but mongrel. ;)

Yeah, i'm not sure McGinnity would be anywhere near our side if it wasn't for injuries. He's already 25,we know what he's got and its not great.

Preferably we'd move Hutchings to McGinnty's role and get some more talent into the midfield.

Outs: Carter (omit), Sheed (omit), Cox (rest/omit), Hutchings (if injured)
Ins: Ellis (For Carter), Selwood (For Sheed), Naitanui (For Cox), Yeo (For Hutchings)

Carter is probably unlucky to be dropped but IMO Ellis is better all round, Sheed has been alright but Selwood would give us more and would be better suited for finals if we make it, Cox needs to be rested cuz if he plays, GC will run circles around us especially considering it's the longest trip in footy and Yeo gives us more speed and strength around the ground which we'll need against GC. Sheed the Sub.

Will be heading there this weekend. With WC being my former team of primary support still have a soft spot for you lads. I would like to see you guys into the finals, but I would also like a GC win for us to finish off the season 11/11. Regardless hoping for a good game between the both of us!

Yes it is, he can't hit a target to save himself. People just love him on here for some reason so they overlook it.

Same can be said for masten people here reckon he is great but he is average at the best. He gets away with average efforts because of skills and the fact he was pick 3. Selwood would play in any other clubs best 22 same cannot be said for masten. Kicking can worked on average efforts is lazy selwood will improve and prove you wrong.

I liked Gov down back, think he works really well as a loose man capable of taking good strong marks, ala Glass. Although he needs to learn that it's okay to spoil sometimes.
He is also probably the second best kick in the team after Hurn. And he is always looking to get it in the corridor and pulls off some very risky passes to do so. He has been a huge reason we've been able to get the ball through the middle in recent weeks.
