I doubt they bring Viney back in for a game at the Gabba. Not that I know a lot about sports science.I think that late goal will save Nibs from omission. Hunt out for Viney if he's good to go. Otherwise probably unchanged.
Am thinking this too, Viney is one more away most likely so Harmes and ANB on watch. No obvious changes, leave as is
Viney & Garlett for ANB & Fritsch
Viney v the blues works well I reckonAm thinking this too, Viney is one more away most likely so Harmes and ANB on watch.
Hunt isn’t adding a lot to the side ATM. I wouldn’t drop him only because I think he needs to be played on the win or high half forward, but clearly the coaching staff disagree. If they are going to persist with him in defence I’d suggest that he does in fact need an extended spell in the VFL to find form there
I think he bobs up for a nice intercept touch every now and again but he rarely hits his targets and runs around like a headless chicken anytime he’s holding the ball or even near it. Does very little defensively either. He should be using his speed as more of a weapon than he manages to do soOut of interest what are your thoughts what was so bad about hunts game?
I don’t think Hannah has ever played two good games in a row. Very frustrating. Lacks the concentration for mine, and I don’t think he’s a very smart footballer. Plays entirely on instinct which works sometimes, but you have to have some smarts tooANB and Hunt were both shit today, but I thought Hannan was one of our worst. Every time I saw us go to him in the forward line he had given up front position, thought he played really poorly as a forward today. If Salem and Viney were good to go I would be dropping two of those three. If Kent was good it would be all 3.

It’s a danger game. Wouldn’t be surprised to see us lose, will take any kind of win.Fair enough I wasn’t at the game, but from previous games he does tear around putting pressure on. But aside from two bomb kicks I thouhh Hunt made more of an effort to hit up short targets. His place is half back. Agree like to see him take the game on with his speed. But sometimes when he tears away all his options are then to close and he just bombs away.
I wouldn’t mind a couple of changes for some fresh legs it will be our 4th game in 19 days. Suns were very competitive yesterday
Why is Fritsch getting dropped?
Yep, I’ve seen enough, the time has come to drop him. His running distances don’t mean shit. I think they’re more a reflection of ineffective running and more an indictment on his form at the moment than something to see as impressive in and of themselves. So he’s fit, big deal. Today at one stage in the last quarter it was his turn to run the ball off half back but he couldn’t provide any dash because he was gassed. I guess it’s hard to sprint after you’ve already run 15 kms in a game. It’s not even just a matter of dropping ANB because he’s playing shit. Very easy to make no changes to a winning side when there wasn’t a VFL game to find other contenders for his spot. But he genuinely needs a spell in the VFL - in fact, it’s possible that the only reason he wasn’t dropped is because there was no seconds game for his to play to find touch. Now that it’s back, it’s in the team’s long term interests for him to get his form back ASAP. In the absence of VFL form, you have to pick the proven commodity in Garlett to cover him
Cos I would like Jeffy's pace on a dry track against the Suns
