Midfielder Jack Redden, forward-ruckman Fraser McInnes, emerging defender Tom Barrass and utility Kurt Mutimer have all been left out.
So far three of those positions have been filled by experienced forward-ruckman Drew Petrie, half-forward Josh Hill and defender Will Schofield.
While three decisions have been made, several others will be finalised when the starting 22 is sorted in time for lodgement to the AFL tomorrow afternoon. Also vying for recalls are key defender Eric Mackenzie, wingman Lewis Jetta, young defender Jackson Nelson, midfielder Mark Hutchings and emerging utility player Malcolm Karpany.
Those players have been named on an extended interchange bench along with midfielder Dom Sheed and forward Jamie Cripps, both of whom played against the Bombers. That means that at least two of Mackenzie, Nelson, Jetta, Hutchings and Karpany will get a start against GWS.

Reddens worst evens it out. Hutch busts his gut, not sure Redden does that as much as hutch.
But I do agree with you to bring youf into the side instead of those two.

Yuck. Left out several key under performing players from the omissions, instead choosing to drop young players like Barrass and Moots.
But what's worse is the very uninspiring list of lads coming in. Schofield, Mackenzie, Hutchings (deservedly), Jetta...
Ugh, where are the rewards for some of the young players?? Lamb??? Partington FFS? Venables if you were really keen.
Had yet another opportunity to #makeastatement and blew it Simpson![]()
Yep, not going to complain about that one.Karps is pretty young?

Well, we've gone the super predictive latter. I've lost confidence in the match committee and coaching group knowing what the **** they're doing.I can't wait for the two extremes to crop up. It's either "play the kids" or "Get some more experience in there".
