Out: WHam, Barrass (time for a spell, work on some 1on1s), Redden, McInnes (shame but we need better support).
In: Nelson, McKenzie, Partington, Petrie.

Butler gets a reprieve due to our lack of small defenders. Need Cole to build form.
LeCras for Lamb wouldn't be surprised.

I would be tremendously surprised. it would be the first dropping of the boys club and a strong signal from the MC.

I wouldn't have agreed with it, but pre foot injury Darling had a pretty good case for being a top 5 player for us. He would have been in the 5-8 range for me. Wouldn't be in the top 15 now.

Yeah I wouldn't have agreed with it either - probably that was a view Simpson (he said this around round 10-12) had at the start of the year. NN, JK, Shuey, Gov and Gaff were clearly the top 5 that year. Then we have (as you said 6-8) Lecras, Priddis and Darling in that order. In terms of importance, Schofield, Shepard and Wellingham would have lot higher than Darling that year. In any case we would have been really screwed if Gov or Schofield had missed multiple games that year.

I have been a long term critic of the Frenchman in big games and contested games. But pragmatically he has been playing well and his skill is an asset. At times he has also been physical. Whoever replaces him will need to bring something if it is to improve our team.

The untouchables

Priddis
Lecras
Masten
Darling
Sheppard

Form is largely irrelevant for these guys and they are picked if not injured.

As an aside they are all actually playing OK at the moment IMO, apart from Pridda, who needs a spell.

Too bad for him. If it was up to me he'd have to show his form in some way otherwise he doesn't get back in the team. If he doesn't play for EP the requirements don't change
He probably kills it at training, AKA Shane Watson who used to "kill it in the nets" and keep getting games

Interested on your thoughts on including Shep. When do you think he deserved to be dropped?

He was woeful for good chunks of last year and he started very poorly this season. He was invisible for the first month.

He has played adequately to very well the last month.

LeCras doesn't want to play for East Perth

No EP game this week

Just saying

I'm not really in the drop Lecras camp though

Having a crack at the extended squad to be named this arvo.

Out: Wellingham (ankle), Barrass ("soreness"), Redden, Mutimer
In: Nelson, Schofield, Hill, Jetta, Petrie, Hutchings, Partington

Last five to be on an extended bench with Butler and McInnes. Last three to miss the cut.

Momentum building for Biggie to become a mod....Trumpy model? campaign in motion?
Not shit stirring, just a joke, I'm on the bandwagon.

Think we will loose out on his giffs if Biggie became a mod - certainly will miss those in that case.
Actually, from what I gather from his posts, I am certain that Biggie is no Trump - Reagan (with infinitely better brain) may be.

Barrass hasn't been shit house. Been decent for a 20 odd gamer. People have to realise that this is the first time he has been given responsibility to play on the oppositions best for at AFL level. Only way he gets better is by playing at this level. We have emac so many games and we need to do the same for Barrass. Only the absolute elite kpds can stop a ramping forward when they get supply. Schofield has cut back a lot this season and is not physically capable on a Patton. Barrass was the only one that looked comfortable against Patton in the nab game. Back him in I say and drop him if keeps on getting dominated.

Pretty sure he's carrying a niggle, which will be a convenient excuse for a week off.
