Bass was just saying Ryder will be ok according to the docs. A bit of pain but it can’t get worse.

Now does this mean:

* the club were over cautious on the weekend
* the club thought we were travelling ok, so tried to spell him when it flared.
* paddy was either over cautious, or isn’t great at playing with pain ?

I’m not really liking a few of those options.

So Ryder will play for a quarter and a half. We will get in front and be conservative and rest him. We will then lose by a point. Tell you what, if Port loses and there is a delayed telecast, only the channel 7 staff on duty will be watching this game.

Additionally how many players do we have out for the season now??? This is ridiculous. This would be the worst run with injuries we've had in many years, if not our entire AFL history.

What the fck were you all expecting? This is literally the last roll of the dice for this list for the likes of Boak, westhoff, ryder, gray, rockliff, etc. It is looking increasingly likely those guys will never win a flag but until this season is officially killed they were always going to go all in for this game and play Ryder/Polec. Sounds like they've just got niggles anyway.

Players play with niggles all the time, i'm more annoyed that Ryder didn't play out the game last week when it clearly wasn't that bad of an injury. Now it has just got even more desperate so he has to play.

The way I see it. Anything they can do you keep him out there this week should have been tried on the weekend in a game that makes or breaks our year.

We've literally had a nightmare draw in the SANFL this year. I dont think we've had 1 game where the Magpies played after the Power, and the Power had at least a 7 day break. It's meant a player missing out every week and limited our ability to call up anyone the next week.

Drop players in poor form but nowhere to play lets still pick em' off a bye .. what a shitshow not completely our fault but learnings, working hardery etc.

So last week when we had a game in the balance our ruckman couldn’t play through the pain.
This week he is selected again and apparently he will cope with the pain.

Absolute joke.

Last week they could have stood him inside 50, freed up a rotation and possibly held on for a win.

I know if we make finals we’re probably just making numbers but a bit of heart last week would have gone a long way this week!!!
