May I suggest the selections are based on placation for the WA based fans. 3 WA lads swung in this week with Mykonos Logue, Teakle and RHJ.

With how we’ve been we just need to win. Whether it’s dominating and winning by 50 or scraping through to win by a goal. A proper effort in all 4 quarters with the win either way and I’ll be satisfied.

We really dont "need" a win. We know perfectly well where we are at. And we are miles off competing against the top end of town.

Naming logue in the squad is the clearest admission so far our list cannot field a competitive backline.

I was at VicPark for that last VFL game. Logue had a decent but not fantastic first half, and an awful second half where it was obvious to anyone watching that he didn't have the match fitness to play a 4 quarter game. And that's in a game where the ball barely went into our defensive 50.

Meanwhile, Phillips gets 35 touches, unanimous 10 coaches votes, and looked dominant in a way that was impossible to ignore, and we don't even name him on the extended bench?

We are an unserious football club led by unserious people.

Think positive Chadwiko........someone like Powell can get injured and he could be rushed over to play against Freo to tag either Brashaw or Serong....

Someone has to come in for an injured Corr. Who else? Wawson? Kal? Undersized Ford?
He hasn't been great, but Logue clearly had the better VFL game than Kal and Wawson.

He was solid. Didn't hit the scoreboard apart from a behind. Teakle took more marks and kicked 3 in the VFL.
I like Finbar, he's had a taste, go back and work on some things. Give Brynn a shot and make a call on him vs CCJ.

This game will tell us a lot of where we are at. A loss or a scratchy win won't cut it, this has to be a convincing win. More shots at goal, more inside 50's along with a 30plus win.

Kal was worse in the VFL. I didn't even notice he was out there to be honest.
I'd love to bring in Fordy off 2 games in a new role, but with Oscar Allen, Bailey Williams and Archer Reid/Flynn rotating in the F50, we'd be very undersized down back with just Pink and Comben back there.
