He is a bit our of sorts. Maybe they are considering giving him the game off is they feel he isn't up for it.

dodgy finger doesn't help, especially in the wet

Wouldn't be against giving Hille a farewell game

I wouldnt either.. but maybe later, reckon I wouldnt mind his farewell to be vs Blues. Hopefully get the players up and about with extra motivation to win, the Bombers faithful turning up in massive numbers to honour the man and then big Hille flattening Mitch Robinson or some other scum! (with a legal, fair bump of course) ;)

Stuff it being a legal bump, do it Lloyd style and I can think of a few Carlton players that I want like that lol...Betts would be number 1 lol....just get Hille to claim "well I'm clumsy...thats all folks" LOL. I would rather do the farewells in this game and would look at giving NLM a 'farewell' match as a sub against the Blues.

WCE have a big forward line, but surely they can't play both Pears and Fletch back there. Winders is a huge in; we always look a 3-4 goal better side with him in.

Wow

Still going with T-Bell and Gumby as the key talls - And the WC have two quality defenders in Glass and McKenzie - This could end in tears !

I am guessing that with Pears named on the bench, TRB may roll the dice and play Carlisle forward, and rely on Pears/Fletcher/Hooker as the tall backs.

Has Crameri signed with the Western Bulldogs ?

Its staggering that with Hurley out, he is still playing in the VFL.

WE are tall, probably too tall.

Gumbleton and Bellchamber>Daniher and Crameri right now

Umm, he's named on the HBF.

Not really. It happens when you struggle against a piss poor VFL side where he should kick 5-6 goals against them.

Against a side that has named 8 players who are genuine KPP's. Plus the average height of their squad is 188cm. Ours is 189, but that could be explained by the fact that Essendon's midfielders are a lot taller, when you consider that West coast only have 1 guy above 190cm rotating through the midfield; who isn't playing, whereas Essendon have a few players going through there that will be quite a bit taller than their counterpart.

Yeah shocked we are playing Gumby instead of Crameri - he must be carrying something or off to the Bulldogs....Hopefully Hille gets a run. I'd like to see them line up something like;-

Fletch Carlisle Baguley
Hibberd Hooker Heppell
Goddard Watson Stanton
Zakka Ryder Melksham
Winders Gumby Davey

TBell Hocking Howlett

Bench from: Myers Hardingham Jetta Hille

Emergency: Pears Kommer Colyer

I've absolutely had enough of our weekly selections circus. There is no merit to some of the yoyo ins and outs playing havoc on our team. **** the investigation, this is killing us. Very disappointed in this aspect of Hird's performance.

The height comment clearly isn't about numbers as much as it is about the attributes of the tall guys we are using (especially forward).

I was reading that Fletcher has been named forward. Given that he hasn't held a contested mark since 2006 I am really shocked that anyone would think it's a good idea. It reeks of keeping him in the side for the sake of it. Given that there is almost no positional play these days the idea that we are throwing West Coast off by naming him out of position is amateur hour (if that is why we're doing it).

I'm not sure what Hardingham is doing in the side either. In no way is he a replacement for Dempsey's offensive game which is at least something Pears can do a little of.

Kommer must have photos of Hird taking suppositories of Hexarelin rectally to continue to get games.

It would be really nice if we could just settle everything down into the side the we think is capable of winning a final.

I know Hille is slow and past his used by date....but

we need to give our former captain a farewell game this weekend he deserves it.

Just plonk him in the goal square (no rucking required) hopefully get a win and clap him off then let's move on and he can decide to finish up there and then or play the last couple of games in the VFL

WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why are Kommer, Bellchambers and Hardingham still in the side?

Even a half dead Crameri is better than Hardingham. Kommer has done less all season than (the not very good and about to be delisted) Del has, and Bellchambers only claim to fame this year is kicking a few bags of goals as an immobile ruck/forward.

Having Kommer in the side is like playing with a man less. Has zero impact!

-7 goals from 16 games.
-Averaging 6.1 kicks a game.
Has spent 80% of game time on the ground.

With a game as sub too

People, these players are definitely playing:

Hibberd, Bellchambers, Gumbleton, Watson, Stanton, Winderlich, Pears, Melksham, Heppell, Carlisle, Hooker, Davey, Ryder, Fletcher, Hardingham, Kommer, Hocking, Hardingham as they're named on the field.

You'd also expect Goddard and Zaharakis to be the first 2 picked on the extended bench. The remaining 2 will come from (in order of expected selection): Myers, Howlett, Colyer, Hille, Jetta

daffo, we've looked at the stats and I'll tell you I've picked the eyes out of Kommer's games and the stats are an almost perfect reflection of what he does. The unquantifiable element of his game is no more effective than Dell'Olio's, Jetta's, Merrett's and, on very limited viewing, Kav's. He is comprehensively the worst player that has gotten a game under Hird. It is startling to think that he is not only getting games but that he has been a best 22 selection for a season in which we have been camped in the top 4.

2 Hardingham's. Now we're really in deep poop

More like. These are the guys who are also named for the VFL side:

Howlett, Hille, Colyer, Bellchambers, Jetta.

The first three are named on the field.

Unless Zaha, Myers or Goddard are out with injury it looks like it could be a bench of Zaharakis, Goddard, Myers and Jetta.

Would be interesting if Jetta is sub again.

Jetta wasn't named in the VFL

Hille more than deserves his spot nd 200 senior games in the AFL
has been superb for EFC over the journey and in the VFL the last few weeks
Rest T-bel or Ryder to fire them up they are looking a bit flat and tired
same goes for Kommer looks tired ...not having an impact like he should be in the fwd line , same goes for jetta .Howlett, Hille, Colyer, Licha, Myers, Zaka, Goddard,Davey come in/retain their spots, Colyer sub
