You'd haveto assume Moore would play Langdons role, and Langdon would move down into Apple's role.“We played a little bit smaller last week with Shaz + Langers playing as the key talls. We expect a different mix against West Coast" - Buckley
With the above comments from Bucks this morning, an additional tall will go back...has to be Moore.
Gets my voteMoore for Appleby, Varcoe for Crocker
Great assessment and agree someone will miss out. Those names you mentioned are most likely too.
Not sure Whe will make it either. Good to have some depth to call on though.
One player I don’t think we would cover well enough is Grundy. The rest are in this new machine. Covered, not replaced.
Didn’t we also have a hyperbaric chamber for recovery?
Whether we go deep into September this year or not, if we continue to build on this year’s Form I think we’re a chance to have a real shot next few years at a flag (without getting carried away).
Not sure I want Lynch either.
Where do you stand in the Bucks camp then vs now? Is keeping him as coach becoming justified?
If he becomes successful, is he the next prototype (aka Bomber Thompson, Clarkson) that were all but gone but built dynasties?
Bolton now Bucks of the last few years before now?
I would be interested in your opinion.
Cheers.
Last week Lycett didn't have any taps, just played forward. My guess is that Darling and Lycett are our two key talls this week, with Kennedy to miss. Vardy to play second ruck with a bit of time forward.

That’s a big nod toward Moore returning, IMO.
My read is that the “different mix” is referring to a taller backline this week.Moore to be named in the squad so a logical inclusion but he could simply have been acknowledging that with Appleby out we'll definitely have a different back 6. Might mean Murray perhaps.
So we now know the famous five

I'd like to see Moore come back in, but I'm not sure he will be
Yes they do.But do they have lashings and lashings of ginger beer?
Why it took so long? The Super Team that was Geelong took years to reach their full potential. So did the Tigers. Plus both Tigers and Cats had reviews. Let’s just be happy things are going well. Not the right thread for it and I feel like I’m on a hiding to nothing although I’m happy to oblige. Buckley is coaching better than ever, but we haven’t achieved anything yet and this is the standard I knew the list was capable of so I’m in a bit of a state of “go on”.
I’m happy we’ve turned the ship around, I want to question why it took so long and I’m still not convinced it’s not flash in the pan on the basis of a good draw (going back to October 2017 I was confident we would make the 8 if we made it past round 8 at 4-4) or sustainable moving forward.
If I had to address one point about his coaching in 2018 he’s made it fun. The players look like they’re having fun and it’s fun to go to the footy again. The wins have flowed from there, IMO, on the back of improved development, leadership and chemistry (which was severely underrated pre-2018). The previous few years were akin to having teeth pulled with backwards, sideways and basically totally ineffectual ball movement. The losses would have been infinitely easier to swallow if we’d have been remotely watchable or it seemed like we were building towards something/ anything.
The most important question is would I re-contract him beyond 2019? And the answer is no not yet. I think we would be irresponsible to do so until we work our way into next season. Do I think that the “Lazorous” type story is the prototype? Also no because Buckley would not have survived past 2016 if it weren’t for McGuire. Bolton could be a story of redemption, but I get a distinct Dennis Pagan vibe about him where he’s going to cop all the shit and then someone else will come in to finish off.
I’m pretty sure that wasn’t what you were expecting and this will go down like a lead balloon, but I’m quite confident if we’d made the call post 2016 we’d be no worse off than we currently sit. They decided to go with Gubby instead which set us back further, IMO. Que sera sera.
