..Woodhouse just got the award for shittest recruiter of all time ...presented to him at the "AFLs biggest floggers" awards dinner

I reckon with the weather the way it is, we'll play either McGinnity or Hutchings, who is listed as a test on our injury list. May be the only time those types of players will be useful. Crash through, bang it forward, it's what they do best!!
Doubt Hutchy's a straight back into the seniors guy - he'll have to get his match fitness up at East Perth IMHO. Only way McGinnity is in is if we really want him tagging Yarran. I'm like to give Bennell and Shepherd cracks at that job though.

My issue is less with recruitment and more with development. 2009 Swift looks like a future gun, ability to weave through traffic. After that, running style changes, used as a tagger, loses confidence. Gaff - never developed right foot. Darling - never developed left hand handball. Those are the ones off the top of my head.

Swift was never more than a pathetic panic merchant. Drafting by woodhouse has sunk us for a decade.

3 masten
7 shep
Eytc
Etc
Years later they are c grade all of them.

Priddis. A rookie and wins a bronlow just to be despised by the swift lovers.

Just saw Jezz Mcgovern was named AFLs team of the weeks CHB... 14 games heh.
How the hell jamar got in with his massive five possessions over natanui is beyond me. The big knock on natanui in the past they say is he doesn't get enough possessions, well he got 3 times more than jamar last week kicked a goal and I doubt any ruckman had anywhere near his influence on the game

We'll win this week and here's what's going to happen.

Masten - Will get 30 touches, and strut around the club all week like he's a hero, the club will call him a ball magnet and a gun.
Priddis - 32 touches for Matt, going to get 'back to brownlow form' and be hailed for leading the midfield again by Den and Bruce....
Selwood - 26 touches, will be praised for being a hard nut and getting the better of Murphy. Building form and fitness.

^ Then next week that lot will get completely pantsed by fremantle in the Derby and we'll be back to square one again. Such is the cruel cycle of that starting midfield and what it does to the club each year. Shit team at home? They'll play like superhero's.

Has to be a joke surely! Absolutely ludicrous!

Then Dark Sharks will tell us what's going to happen on round 4 and 5. And he will be remarkably right again, Some say he's psychic

When did I ever once say taggers? Pathetic responses!

You didn't. You just said Wellingham started the game off playing a "negating role" on the bench and then at half-forward in the general vicinity of Boyd, said our play-through-the-corridor, play-on-at-all-costs style was overly negative, and seemed to assume I thought Wellingham played an attacking role all game.

The "defenders are taggers" comment was this:

So he was a lockdown defender tagging a forward. Still a tagger no? Or was he a free defender able to roam where he would.

Having Jamar in front of Naitanui was a bit bizarre though.

Not having a go at you blokes but seriously who gives a flying **** about this stuff? I want premiership points! Getting excited about these inane media "recognitions" smells of the purples to me
