I want premiership points!
Going to be pretty quiet around here for the next few yearsYeah, let's not talk about anything unless we are actually contending, ok?![]()
Its because Naitanui is bla.. er blazingly fast, he mustnt have a football brain. "Football illiterate" was the term I think. How the hell jamar got in with his massive five possessions over natanui is beyond me. The big knock on natanui in the past they say is he doesn't get enough possessions, well he got 3 times more than jamar last week kicked a goal and I doubt any ruckman had anywhere near his influence on the game

Its going to be a win with the small positives this year. Not having a go at you blokes but seriously who gives a flying **** about this stuff? I want premiership points! Getting excited about these inane media "recognitions" smells of the purples to me![]()

Bugger 2015! We're all for season 2016 when the wings will be returned. Easy and Brownie felt so strongly about the cause that they flat out refused to pull on the home guernsey in 2015.

What shits me most about us is not even our skills. We seriously lack hardness. Our biggest loss in that regard has been waters. We are soft as butter. It's one thing to lack skills but when a first gamer shows up most of the team you know you have a problem. So it's not just skills I believe it's been an attitude problem for a few years now. I could be wrong but it's just how I see it.

I watched this game for the first time well after I knew the result. I kept my eye on Sheed... that poor boy is not even close to being ready for AFL. Looks completely lost and shot for confidence. Reminds me of Jack Watts' first games.
He needs an extended period in the WAFL to get some form and confident. I honestly think he is at least a year away. Keeping him in the side is no good for him or us.
Lets reward good WAFL form and bring in that other bloke that killed it. I forgot his name![]()
We haven't been hard for years... Sydney and freo are hard, their players throw their body on the line without it having to be a special individual effort, it's just what the players expect of each other. Port (especially) and Hawthorn are hard in a different way in that yes they win the contests but a greater asset to them is a complete belief in their gameplan and a willingness to take the game on - they never doubt at any stage their ability to win, which is a mental toughness we simply don't possess...
Back in 2006 I remember one of the players saying after we came back from 11 goals down to beat Geelong that the whole side had confidence in their fitness and ability to run over the top of them and didn't panic when the first half of the game didn't go their way. Port have that faith now and it's the very reason we can't beat the top teams (or a team on their game like the bulldogs) - when things aren't going our way and the game gets tough we roll over.
Sorry to sound like a complete sad sack about this but it doesn't matter how well the players learn to execute simmos gameplan, without a certain mental attitude of hardness both at the ball and in belief/desire to win we wont be able to consistently be a top side.
I'm backing Simpson in to figure this out and motivate the side, Ken Hinkley turned it around in no.time for port, roos did it for Sydney and is now doing it at Melbourne and woosha even kind of did it for us back in 2011. Players like lamb and Duggan seem.to have that right attitude as well so I think we'll eventually get it right, just won't be this year
We are Hard ?
Hard to watch..
Sad thing about the royals good win over subi is that there were no standouts. Compounds the problem really. Experienced professional bodies must dominate in the WAFL.I watched this game for the first time well after I knew the result. We can all agree that Sheed performed very well over the preseason - in fact, I'd say he was in our top 3 performers and undoubtedly the biggest improver.
I'm happy for Sheed to stay in the team regardless of performance for at least the next month...
The easiest way for a coach to lose the players is to play favourites
