I'll give you two just "better than decent" players to show for a decade of recruiting. What really shits me in hindsight is WCE declaring their rebuild over in 2008 when they wheeled out Masten and co allow with s slick advertising campaign around the "new breed". Went on to **** up the 2009 draft period in the worst possible way including the crowning folly of topping up on a short/light half back flanker with a top draft pick who's put on 2-3kg of solid muscle in 7 years and is just getting regular games now in a decimated defence. Other than that Kennedy fell into our laps. Darling inexplicably fell into our laps. NicNat fell into our laps as reward for winning a spoon. McGovern I have no answer for other than luck. If you have 5 darts to throw every year for a decade eventually one will hit the board.
I think we're good at recruiting KPP players but less good with midfielders.

Would be disappointed if Lamb and Nelson got dropped but I think at least Lamb will go. They should drop Butler for Ellis and leave Nelson in. Schofield for Brown is my only other change. Unfortunately I think McGinnity will keep his spot so Yarran has someone to outpace. ;)

Pumped for Dugg, though a wet and windy Subi probably isn't the ideal conditions for his debut...I'm assuming it will be as sub, which should be okay.

Has he played his last game for East Perth? He's obvious quality.

If Sinclair plays (and plays down back) I'll cry.

Surely this can't be the week he comes in, especially with the weather. Although a few different forecasts I've looked at say no rain tomorrow so depending how well Subi drains, maybe conditions won't be as bad as expected??

Has Masten been dropped?

Lycett, Selwood, Wellingham, Butler, McGinnitty?

Would be surprised if Masten was dropped. I dare say Lamb will be the one dropped , heard he pulled up sore from the weekend and the fact he played all pre-season games and was subbed in early. Duggan will be an excellent choice as sub.

Simmo said Lycett will get another go this week so doubt Sinclair will be in as a ruck.
