The obvious Sparrow replacement as a half forward out, half forward in would be Spargo. Spargo was Spargo-esque enough to get recalled.
I’d be dropping Tholstrup. A nice goal, but he was either anonymous or fumble prone on most occasions he had a chance. I’d love it to be for Mentha.
I expect Tmac out and May in, despite McDonald being the best tall defender for mine against North.
Finally I think there’s a bit of a merry go round with Windsor, Lindsay and Sharp. Two of those play with one the sub. I think Lindsay has just looked off the boil for a while now and could do with some easy ball at the VFL.

Yeah nearly had him out but changed my mind - Season is over so just play him and see if he can do anything. We already know Lindsay will be fine, so don't need to run him into the ground.
Also, forgot May will probably come straight back in from COVID too.

Time to debut Ricky Mentha. Has been good all season for Casey and was electric yesterday in their big win.

Season is done. Would be idiotic not to give the kid a go. Our forward pressure is poor. I want to see him and Koz in the same forwardline at times. Probably not ready, but I'll spew up if we go to Spargo before this bloke.
Windsor needs to be dropped, got one disposal which was basically a fumble over the boundary line after coming on fresh just after half time. This was playing off the wing against an undermanned North
Needs to go to the VFL and upskill his disposals as well as learn some more effective running patterns.

Outs . Sparrow (concussion) Windsor, Tholstrup ( to qualify if Casey makes finals) , Lindsey (needs a week off IMO ) . In .. Doesn’t matter , Goodwin picks who he picks .
It's an interesting debate atm. A lot of our kids look shot or out of form. So do we persist and get some more senior footy into them knowing our season is done, or send them to Casey? 6 games, most against clubs around us on the ladder. Might be jus worth persisting with the young blokes. Although Lindsay does look like he needs a rest. Had an ordinary month of football.
They are going down the same path as Trengove and Grimes and being asked to do too much. If they are not showing form in the 1s let them find it in the 2s. Some of these guys only getting a run because of where they were selected in the draft, opposed to form.
Happy to persist with Jeff though who was kicking bags to earn his spot in the 1s.

Depends on the clubs priorities, seniors can’t play finals , Casey can if they finish the season well .
I think Jefferson's game on the weekend changed my thinking on this. Get games into them. Blood them.

Yeah me too. Langford isn't running out of steam. Looks just as strong now as the start of the season. Lindsay looks shot. Windsor struggling. Jeffe showed something at least on the weekend. Tholstrup seems to have the energy but not the skill. If we do put a young bloke down to Casey I'd prefer if we promoted another young bloke. Mentha? Adams? Kentfield?Verrall? Sestan? Kynan? Woey? Even Culley.
