I have heard that Goo won't get another game for us after cracking 3 of Jack's ribs in a non-contact training session six weeks ago. Apparently he was responsible for jarring Jack's knee in the preseason. Anyone else heard this or is it old news?

If it is true... It's a sad state of affairs down at punt rd!
Do players also get banned if they give dirty looks to our 'star players'?

I think we've seen enough of Nason to know that he is shit. Probably Goudis too, but everyone has a hard on for him because he is 'athletic'. I don't see how either can improve the side (though to be fair, they might have to get a game just because so many guys deserve to be dropped).

Agree with the other poster, our backline looks shit because the guys that should be playing there are injured. I actually have some faith in Astbury, Grimes and Moore playing back there. Come trading season we don't need to go overboard with the backline, there are more pressing areas to fix.

We (as usual) have a gaping hole at CHF. I wish we'd have played Vickery there the whole game instead of throwing him in the ruck. I know Browne played shit, but subbing him off meant we had no-one to take a mark in the half forward, and at the end of the day that lost us the game.

The selection team needs to be brave and drop some 'superstar' players to prove REAL business.

I don't think several players on our list have a future dan, I would have cut them last year or well before in some cases, but Hardwick saw enough in them to keep them, so he should back his own judgement and give them a fair crack.

Thursfield, Tuck, Gourdis, Hislop, Nason, Contin, Westhoff, Hicks etc...to me there's only Tuck and Gourdis worth persevering with and you bring six other kids in (plus a mature onballer instead of Miller), but Hardwick kept them for some reason.

At some point you have to question how good his judgement actually is...you're either fully on the development path and rejecting everything that walks, talks and quacks like Tom Hislop or Will Thursfield, or trying to win.

Or there's the Dimmer way...tick no boxes and **** up everything you touch.

Edwards and Grigg get cheap posessions, don't present and make dumb decisions. Jackson is too slow and can't kick. Jack needs a rest to sort out his injuries. Thursfield is VFL standard and Browne has no tank (yet).

PS: Not denying Post / Griffiths of a game from Miller. The season is shot, play the two who'll be there layer (well, jeez, hopefully anyway).

We've seen what Browne and Graham can do. Vickery / Post is a better combo for mine. The others are finished.

The most commonly picked player to be left out of the side is Edwards
I thought I was the only one continually frustrated by his failure to ever do anything with the ball that was benefit to us.
I think Edwards is playing the role connors played last year and would not be in the side if DC had been fit and available.

Reiwoldt- just get him right for Gods sake same for Jackson neither are fit.

why would you drop mcguane, he was probably our best defender yesterday, and played pretty well.
It was not the defences fauly what happened yesterday.
It was midfield and forward line. Still too many spuds in the midfield. And our forward line was just terrible yesterday, Jack should be rested to get his injuries right. Vick and griff didnt do anything. but should stay in team
