Changes vs Collingwood @ MCG

Ryder spending big chunks of the second half playing forward was a sure indicator Hinkley knows Trengove isn't the answer up there. Will it translate into the required changes of Trengove moving back and Howard brought in as a genuine foil for Dixon? Probably not. More than likely Ryder was thrown forward to show us all that the current balance of the side is right.

"It's a great luxury to have Paddy to throw forward when we need an extra tall up there...."

Maybe he'll bring Lobbe back so Ryder can spend more time forward. Or maybe he'll kick me square in the nuts.

Does Pittard come straight back in to replace Polec or does Bonner get a chance?

Is this a trick question ;)

Out: Impey Impey Impey Impey sick of him not getting enough of it and not being clean at least half the time he does, Young and/or Neade gave us what we knew we would get but getting both of these guys out will be a miracle so I'll hope for one
In: Monfires if fit, Atley if not and a tall I don't care who but move Trengove to defence or play Dougal as second ruck ( I agree off an ACL that's not ideal) but Trengove gives us nothing up forward and we've already got Impey and Young giving us nothing

Agree 100%

This was the highlight of the night for me, it became glaringly obvious Trengove up forward isn't working and that we need a natural forward that can work and present on the lead and Paddy showed us what our forward line was desperately missing. So given we don't have 2 of Paddy, hopefully he will realise that using an actual forward in Eddy or Howard is the way forward.

Well all I can say after watching today is that if. You want to double your money and make some easy coin get on the pies cause we ain't going anywhere fast.

OUT:
Polec
Young - I loved what Young did last season but your time is up. Should be able to bully and do more against Brisbane.
Neade - We'll miss your 6 tackles?

IN:
Atley - This guy is actually our best player at the Magpies.
Ah Chee - Should not have been dropped. At least he kicks and setups goal playing out of position.
Howard/Eddy - ikr.

Wingard moves to Polec's wing, Howard/Eddy take Wingard's spot up forward.

please Ken, make this happen

Outs
Young - Why did we play him as a making option
Neade- didn't do anything that said he is a top 22bplayee
Polec - injury

In
Howard/eddy
Drew/atley /ah chee
White or pittard who ever plays better tomorrow

The chasm in performance between Young and Neade in the SANFL last week vs AFL this week is concerning, both games against bottom ranked opponents. Apart from Houston, who seems a cut above, none of the others who have been brought in this year have performed at the level required.
Let's hope all this excitement about Atley, Howard and others isn't over rated too but I guess if we don't play them, we'll never know.

The Young situation is interesting. We often hear from the coaches that it's like for like etc. Young played midfield in the snafl and forward in the AFL. Am I right in saying he's the only lad playing a different position in each side. Maybe S. RGAY was as well but he's first 22 these days.

I still don't believe we can run with Impey and Neade in the forward line. Both are low possession players.

The Polec injury may, at the very least, get the coaches to consider playing Hamish on the wing and bring Bonner into defence. Even if Pittard plays well, one game out doesn't teach him **** all. Form isn't regained in one match.

Drew and White would be the two blokes most likely to get a call up for Polly (like for like), however Atley probably deserves a call up before Drew but not by much. Personally I'd go for Drew as I don't think White gets enough of it if it's between those two fellas.

Looking forward to seeing how the Maggies fare before naming in's and out's.

Has Pittard taken O'Shea's spot as the whipping boy?

Pittard is a good player out of form and some of us have short memories as this time last year many of us had Jasper leading in our B&F. I am not saying Pittard is playing well or that he shouldn't be dropped but he should not be written off either. Pittard is capable he simply needs to regain the mojo and he might do that after one week in the SANFL who knows?
