I think Aish will come in and I hope we smash him in his first game against us... fairly of course, I think a lot of the boys were close with him though while the other three quarters of the list weren't around. I still carry the resentment though!
I will never forgive that stuck up slimy grub.

Never forgive, sure. Moved on from caring about him, well and truly.

He really isn't that good, didn't end up being anywhere near as a loss as Yeo & Docherty, who we sorely miss.

Because the Pies have a small forward line bar Cox. They aren't saying he should be dropped because he isn't good.
They started with 2 talls up forward on the weekend and will bring in a tall for Moore and do the same. If they go with Cox and 5 smalls we can use the bench to cover it off. If they bring in another small good luck to them then covering big o, McStay, hipwood in our forward line. We could even push Walker forward then, we would get a match up in the goal square that would win the game for us. Maybe we should make them match up on us not the other way round. It's under the roof and contested marking is worth is weight in gold.

Yeah I know, being as smug as he was with no reason to be just gets right up my nose. Then he goes to the filth.

I feel in two weeks time against the GC we could do some experimenting along the lines of trying Harris at CHF seeing they have no key forwards of note and make multiple changes to give guys like Dawson Frost Beames Ballendan Hinge Cox Allison Lyon a sniff and a chance to strut their stuff one last time and provide a thanks(goodbye) game for some. Then I woke up.
Was going to reply "no way" then I saw you "woke up" lol

I wonder if Hodge will play all of the last 3 games.

If we are looking to win games = yes
If we want to look like we are tanking = no

Do you think he’s playing that well?

I think it’ll be worthwhile giving Cox or Allison a couple of more games.

We’ve already brought Starvevich in to give him a taste and Fagan basically admitted it wasn’t 100% because his form warranted selection.

I'd be going only one unforced change at this stage.

Cutler in for Bastinac. Thats maybe a bit hard on Basti but not sure who else could go out.

Starc should get at least 2 games as a taster. Taylor, Rich and a few others havent been in great form but have enough runs on the board at the moment.

Still would like to see Mayes back in the seniors but not sure who he could come in for

Bell had his ankle operated on last week, gone for the season and I'd probably suggest he has played his last game for the Lions

I'm sad you thought I was serious :(

Cutler for Basti my only change. Collingwood have run out of Talls anywhere on the ground and we will have an advantage if we play fast and get some one-on-one contests in the forward line. Last week we started with Oscar in the centre and had Martin standing, looking lost, somewhere around CHF. Like to see that reverted back with Oscar starting deep. Roof closed, fast surface, our skills are much better from earlier in the season we can really put on a show. OOOOHHHHH how I'd like to rub a win into Buckley, some on here say they cant forgive Aish well I'm old school and still remember Buckley leaving then us belting him in 2 Grandfinals in a row and him never winning the one he left us for.

I think Martin might be a better match up for Grundy than O so we might change it up this week again. He is more about his presence once the ball is on the ground. Will be a big challenge dealing with Grundy and the Collingwood mids group

Yeah. My go would be to actually instruct Martin to tag Grundy around the ground.

We may need to schedule some rest for some of the young Cubs with heavy legs. Consider Raynor Berry and Mclugg to get a week off as the wear and tear of the season continues I think..

Hodge gives more than others. I just checked the Footywire stats and in the AF column he was our 7th best player and layed 5 tackles. 4 more than Rich. In saying that I wouldn't drop Rich either.

IMO the coaching staff probably ask him each week how his body is feeling and whether he wants to play or not.

Hodge plays the last 3 games to show our future stars how to finish a season.

I don’t think that is at all required. There is 3 games left against a depleted Collingwood, a young Gold Coast outfit and a West Coast side missing their best midfielder and arguably on decent outside midfielder.

I think they’ll finish the season off strongly.

IIRC didn't Stef get the better of Grundy last time?

I hope CBeams gets a run.
You’d have to think Cutler comes in for Bastinac.
I’m not sure about sitting Starc out, but we did it with Cox.

Hope DeGoey doesn't get up. I guess if he does it's a big test for Dizzy in which I'm sure he can excel but I'd still rather he missed.

Degoey trained today, but Howe didnt.

You guys are a better chance than the odds suggest

I'd say besides big telescopic Cox and WHE there isn't a great deal of height in that Collingwood forward line. Hopefully that plays into our hands for the game with Darcy, Walks and Harris all firing. Injuries have stretched the pies down back too which i'm hoping Hippy and McStay can take advantage of. Look for the pies to come out strong through the guts last week after Sidebum and Pendles lowered their colours.

For mine, Cutler to come in for Basti and if Starc goes back to the 2s i'd love to see Zac Bailey get another game, really loved his dash and lateral movement earlier in the year.

Yeah, I'm in the Cutler for Basti boat as the only change.

Really looking forward to our young guys having a crack at the Pies in a packed house. Great experience for them.

And, just to get in the mood....

I STILL BELIEVE :D
