Between Hoon and Young as sub.
Young would be consistent with the helping out with the inside work in the final quarter theory but Hoons form when sub previously has been pretty good. Either works for mine Hoon will run out the game ok so no fear there. Think Ken trolls this board Young is sub again.

Go Sammmmmmy! So happy for him to have returned. Not the right selection? Ah Chee Ah Stiff but Moore lol, I mean hasn't he had like 100 chances to cement a spot at AFL and also stuffed up his grand chance by touching an umpire this year?

I hope The Hoon shows us why he played finals in 2013.
in fairness moore is playing the best, most consistent football he ever has this year, by a long way.
i dont mind the change, hoon has had some pretty good games this year but ahchee must be considered stiff.

So we're selecting structure over form - not saying Hoon's form was bad but Arch and Moore were clearly in better form.

This probably spells the end of Moore at our club. Behind Arch/Young on the inside and Amon/Hoon on the outside.

Thrilled to see Hoon for the first time since 2013 finals
If you mean keep the same structure yes. Certainly not getting a better structure. Our most obvious glaring structural problem all year is being short another big bodied mid to play a full game alongside Wines to provide the space for Boak and Gray. Even the games we've won we've usually lost clearances / stoppages (and worse if you look at effective clearances versus the deceptive raw numbers).

Hinkley says to Hoon: "You get what you deserve."
Hinkley points to Hoon and says to Ah Chee: "He gets what you deserve."
I say to Hoon: "Sammy, you better nail it."
I say to Ah Chee: "Arch, for kryst sake keep at it. SANFL BOG again, please."

I expected an outside runner as sub, so Colquhoun or Mitchell didn't bother me.

However we still have too many flankers for my liking. We need another ball winner in the main lineup and Moore and AhChee are begging to be picked.

So all this says to me is that the coaching staff haven't learnt from our slump and our poor quarters the last few weeks where this issue has been glaringly obvious.

What about ground balls?

Not thrilled, but not outraged.

Colquhoun's SANFL form didn't warrant selection, but I wish him luck and hope he makes the most of his chance.

Not sure if this has been brought up before but with the absence of Kane now from our team and the real emergence of the big body midfielder dominating the game I feel there is a roll Moore could play for us. Even if its not a tag, a solid H2H where he is a bit more responsible than the average midfielder. Players that he could play on would be Fyfe, Lewis, JPK, J.Selwood, Bonts, Shiel, Pendles (Not so much strong but tall), Watson etc. Most clubs have a doominant big body midfielder at the moment, I think there is a real opportunity to get some size into our midfield and restrict the output from these types of players.

It seems straight forward outside run for outside, and this is the same structure that has got us back to back wins that the coaches who have taken us to back to back finals deems the best for our side. I would love to see Moore into the team but I think he will need to take an inside mids spot prob young.

We don't see all the numbers and how each player is tracking at sanfl level maybe some of these guys aren't doing the team thing required to get into the afl

Still get the feeling they are working through a few players, seeing what they've got, to settle it all down later in year. On that theory Moore will get his opportunity soon enough.

Yeah, I look forward to finally settling on our "best 22" and attacking finals hard when we're 7-12. :thumbsu:

I'm obviously no judge either .
Good luck and well done to the Hoon in his comeback game but I had him behind Ahchee , Moore and Mitchell going by the theme that seemed to be happening with the best performing player in the Maggies

Josh Carr was on 5CC 20 minutes ago and said Moore just needed to string a few games together in the SANFL after his suspension, said he only played two games since coming back in, needed a couple more

Pretty sure he's played 3, and starred in all of them.
