Dixon 2.3 hit outs to advantage, 48% Hit out win, 16.4% Hit out to Advantage
Howard, 2.0 hit outs to advantage, 38.6% Hit out win, 36.4% Hit out to Advantage.

Vs Essendon
Hit outs
Howard 21, Dixon 13, Westhoff 5.

Similar hit out to advantage and hit out win percentage but Howard is vastly better at getting a hit out to advantage.

I have no doubt We'll be going the same as last week and hoping that our midfielders do a little more than the thumbing of their assholes that they did for the last 2 weeks,
Time will tell I suppose.

No Snelling PMSL Ken!. what more does he have to do?

1st melt of the season.
Gave up pushing Will's barrow. When Sammy Gray was spudding it up 1st 1/2 of last yr Will was turning in stellar
performances with the Magpies. Gets car crashed by Paul Stewart after a lazy hospital ball from Todd and isn't part
of any conversation since.

I guess rather than ****ing with two players continuity in Dixon and Howard, we're now only ****ing with one in Howard.

Dix has forgotten how to forward since being flicked around.

Happyish with the ins, just think Ken has gone the wrong way about it.

As much as I love Houston, I'd have dropped him due to form and kept McKenzie in for another week and still brought in Hombsch.

Would have rather Neade came in last week instead of Amon. Needed Atley to come in this week for Rocky. Danger is going to kill us on the inside.

Ebo to run with him all game id say.

But yea, Atley defiantly should have come in. SPP and Rocky out no additional midfeilder in ? Keep this shit up and wouldn't surprise me if he demands a trade.

One thing we've historically done is backed players in so far as to be detrimental to their long term form. Sometimes you see players (like Jonas in 2016) that we just keep playing even though they are screaming out for a spell. They get their confidence destroyed that it takes them a full season to come back to good form.

Houston has this week and if not he's gotta go.

Team selected lacks some hardness and ball getting ability.

Two inside mids are out (Rockliff and SPP) without even one of that type coming in.

That is particularly baffling with Ryder out.

We will get thrashed around the ball Saturday night and lose by 4-6 goals.
Despite my confidence in a win ^ scares me. Ebo is gunna have to have a blinder yet I swear he looked dazed at one stage
last week. We also need a big one from our skipper.

Would have liked to see Hombsch start instead of Clurey. Of course that is still possible, the 22 players rarely all start where they are named. Although I would have also liked to see Pittard come in for Amon. Sure he had no pre-season but the one SANFL game I saw showed enough of his running form.

I have no issue with the inclusion of Hombsch, if he is over the injury problems that plagued him last year he is ( with the possible exception of Doogs ), at least the equal of any other tall defender on our list.

With Neade it will depend on how he is used, if he is parked in a forward pocket and the ball is put on his head he will almost certainly be a bust, if he is used as a link ( run and carry ) player then he can be effective.

Taking all of the above into account, I have a feeling that this is the game that will tell us where we are at re the coaching of the team.
Let's hope we don't end up gnashing our teeth at the thought of 4 more seasons of Kern and his not so merry men.
