Potential ins: Tapscott, Watts, Magner, Couch, Morton, Gysberts, Fitzpatrick (pending VFL performances, really)

Potential outs: Jetta (susp.), Nicholson (jaw), Spencer, Strauss, Dunn, Blease

Go HAM. ;)

Out: Joel Mac, Dunn, Jetta

In: Watts (can he please get over that ankle problem?), Tapscott, Couch

The last two ins were fairly arbitrary, but Dunn has to go surely. Worst on ground by a mile, offered nothing. Yes, he keeps getting switched around the place, but so do other players (I.e. Rivers), and they can find a way to stay involved in the game. Jetta tired quickly, probably will stay in though I guess. Gysberts must be close to a return too.

VFL Stuff:

Goals: Couch, Williams, Morton and Gysberts 2. Cook, Petterd and Fitzpartick with 1.
Best: Tynan (though I think it was perhaps Luke not Josh), Gysberts, Morton and Couch
Disposals: Couch 32, Morton 29, Gysberts 27
Other cool stuff: Couch 10 inside 50's and 6 hardball gets, Fitzpatrick 46 hit outs.

We defeated Frankston 15.15.105 to 10.9.69.

Would love to see Gysberts and Fitzpatrick come it. Also I hope Watts is back.

I'd say Gysberts is almost a certainty after watching the VFL. Wouldn't be surprised to see Couch get another go too, just looks a class above at VFL level.

Why would you drop Green?

Thought Green looked really tired and could use a game off, plus we could use some fresher, faster legs. But, the more I think about it, we don't have any other half-decent forwards, and could drop about five-twelve more useless players...

I'll replace Green with "take your pick".

Is Strauss really an out?

Surely we have to give him something to take into pre-season. 5 games left to go we have to look at the younger players now.

I'm tempted to give both Bail and Trengove a spell, they are clearly both inhibited. Trenner's spot is naturally safe and Bail will be kept on also - they look like they have done the weights and their bodies have been playing catch up all season. Martin is struggling a bit too, perhaps a rest for Fitzpatrick. It has been a long season for many of these guys - many tired players.

Don't mind seeing Dunn and Macdonald dropped as long as we have fresh players to come in.

Spencer is hard to watch but I'll put up with him I guess as the main ruck.

Not entirely sure of the INS (besides Gys) but this is from the VFL website:

Casey Scorpions

Goal Kickers: T. Couch 2, C. Morton 2, J. Gysberts 2, L. Williams 2, T. Smith , L. Cook , L. Thompson , C. Clay , R. Petterd , J. Fitzpatrick , R. McGough
Best Players: L. Tynan, J. Gysberts, C. Morton, T. Couch, R. McGough

Same question.

Also, I guess we need to take into account the mystery injury of the week. Who will it be? The suspense is palpable...

Please be Macdonald, Please be Macdonald.

In -

Jordan Gysberts - must play the last 5 games, way too good for VFL
Jack Watts - must be fit by now
Jack Fitzpatrick - potential and talent and great form for Casey
Luke Tapscott - must get games into him

Out -

Jake Spencer - the most useless player I have ever seen. Just an embarrassment to watch.
Lynden Dunn - his time is up
Rohan Bail - dumb footballer that missed 3 gimme goals. Momentum killer.
Joel MacDonald - dont care how many touches he gets he is ineffective and not a part of the future

Ins: Watts, Gysberts, Tapscott

Outs: Jetta, Spencer, Bail

B: Garland Frawley Macdonald
HB: Nicholson McDonald Strauss
C: Grimes Jones Trengove
HF: Howe Watts Blease
F: Tapscott Rivers Green
R: Martin Sylvia Moloney
Int: Gysberts Sellar McKenzie
S: Dunn

Jetta will get weeks, Spencer is a passenger at this stage in his development, Bail needs to find some form.

Out: Dunn, Sellar (both omitted), Jetta (suspended)
In: Watts, Gysberts, Tappy
Morton/Couch to come in if any injuries cause anyone to miss next week

Outs:
Joel Mac- Never ever ever play Joel Macdonald again, he is like Mathew Warnock but more agressive and slower. Rohan Bail- coach killer, I thought he was a running machine, I saw a lot of trailing, not much running though.
Neville jetta and Col Garland had no impact they could both be dropped if needed.
In's:
Keeping in mind i didn't see Casey play:
Couch- his not going to be a good AFL player, but if he played well for Casey then I spose you have to reward him.
Gysberts- Will be that Joel Corey sorta player when he can get fit, big emphasise on the 'when'.
Watts- If fit
Morton- Because it's the typical game whereby he gets 20 odd touches running one way, and could provide for some sort of trade bait.
Bate- Same as Morton

Bail and Nicholson need to start improving their possession levels if they want to keep playing in an AFL side in my opinion.

Bit harsh on Nicho, that was probably his lowest possession effort for the season - I think the majority of his games have been around the 20 mark.

i agree with some of the outs. but with Blease a Potential Out. you have got to be kidding.
if we the fans think the players are shit. then why dont we give it a try and play football in front of massive crowds every week.

Outs:
Joel Mac- Never ever ever play Joel Macdonald again, he is like Mathew Warnock but more agressive and slower.

Yeah, down with aggression - let's get Morton back in there tiptoeing through the tulips.

Harsh... He's been a lot better at his intensity this year. Particularly earlier on. What a wonderfully supportive post on a former top draft pick at your club. The secret to success is backing each other in not tearing each other apart.

In: Gysberts, Watts, Fitzpatrick, Cook, Tapscott
Out: Jetta (susp), Nicholson (jaw), Spencil, Garland, Dunn

On the Sunday Footy Show I thought Matty Lloyd made an interesting point when he said that too few Demons players were generating any run which I reckon is one of our biggest problems so I reckon players who at least take the game on such as Macdonald and Blease deserve a go. Garland needs to be dropped, playing some ordinary football at the moment and about time Lucas Cook got a go.
