Yet they keep selecting him, crazy sh*t yeh, does your head in!?
Oh well, must be doing something right?
He does a lot of things right

But he needs to be dropped to send a message about all the easy goals he gives up by silly mistakes

I am again shocked ah chee is still in team.

Hopefully that makes him kick 5 again this week.

But seriously, do not rate.
AhChee's been solid, even if not kicking goals, is playing his role in assists, clearances+defensive work..like Cripps and others maligned, they often put in a solid day at the office but don't get much glory.

Uh-huh... With the increasingly "good problem to have" re returning best 22 players pushing out our improved depth players, Nelson might find himself unlucky to be dropped more often, but doubt it would be for the reason you mention.

It's all about team balance the changes this week.

I think Ah Chee in makes sense (and not just because I'm the great man's sponsor). With Nelson out, we need some support in the middle, Ah Chee offers that flexibility.

Jones out sucks, but someone had to go and I don't think he's in competition with Ah Chee for that spot, he's in competition with Petruccelle. And on currently form I don't think there's much between Petch and Jones. Regardless, he'll be back in time - I hope he tears up the WAFL again, running through the middle when possible and forces himself into the team.

Nelson out is also harsh, but unavoidable, if we have Ah Chee for midfield cover, then Nelson lacks the speed or penetrating kick that the other half backs have, so again tough, but he'll be back.

Considering our outs at the moment, it's quite exceptional that we're developing pressure on spots.

Other than Shuey and Yeo its basically full strength though. McGovern out doesn't really make a difference anymore, in fact might be better because Edwards defends and Barrass intercepts

Yeo, Shuey, Duggan, Gov and possibly Rioli is more selection pressure on every line.

And shitting on McGovern is getting a bit cute, the guy is still an absolute Jet, just re-watch the game from last week.

Swapping Gov for a 3 gamer is a massive downgrade. I get people are frustrated when both Gov and Barrass go for the same marks, but the answer to that is getting one of Barrass or Gov to lock down, not ditching a 4 x AA. A player that teams literally plan their game around, who is in his prime, for a kid in the infancy of his career.

You're talking about a guy who wanted to trade Gov last year

Granted I forgot about Duggan but WC have lots of HBF to replace him.

In regards to Barrass and McGovern they can't 'lock down'. It's not what they are good at. WC defence looked much better when McGovern was out than last week so let's see how it goes this week. If it looks better than last week v Adelaide then???

I have to agree to the extent that the new man on the mark rule and quicker entries have made gov more accountable 1 on 1 and has exposed the fact he is not that good 1 on 1 and has a tougher time because he can't just zone off anymore

He is still way better than Edwards

Even with Hogan why are Rotham and Edwards required? Let alone without Hogan.....Allen could play KPD if required. I think the selection is trying to fit the best 22 players in regardless of structure. Hardwick and Clarkson always dropped good players for structure. I feel like the MC is weak
Because Rotham isn't a key position player..

Re the Hawthorn game, it was more midfield dominance/pressure that made our backs look good - that and the fact that they were playing on kids of questionable talent.

It was also Gov and Barrass's first game back against Adelaide, so continuity was missing. I think if you look back to last year when we had a bit more continuity with the two, Barrass regularly locked down on opponents and Gov went the intercept - and vice versa.

Duggan and also Nelson now out of the team, sure we have heaps of HBFs, but a few weeks ago with injury problems and players playing out of position, we didn't. My point was simply that pressure is good and we have a bit of it now.

Having an opinion that isn't widely agreed with isn't embarrassing.

No, but having embarrassingly bad opinions is embarrassing.

Like dropping Gaff because he missed a tackle.

Or picking Cameron off the back of a three-possession, no-goal WAFL game because “everyone else has had a go, get him in FFS”.

Or wanting to trade McGovern like the club is playing NBA 2K or something.

Noticed Gaff hasn't missed a tackle like that since? Williams didn't play well in wafl then came in...same with Petrecelli. Cameron should get a chance like they did. Still would trade McGovern for a quality inside mid. If you don't understand that a quality inside mid would make WC a lot better team than McGovern instead i don't know what to say

They are all terrible opinions which won't find much support around these parts and the fact you're doubling down on them speaks volumes.

Own up to them, and move on. We're all human.

If Gaff hasn’t missed a tackle since, wouldn’t that make your call to drop him even more ridiculous?

Keep trying to justify your embarrassingly bad opinions, it’s just adding to the embarrassment.
