So May's out 2-4 apparently. Was hoping he could play on his old mate lynch but knew that wasn't going to happen regardless.

RIchmond is definitely the game we will miss him most in from a match up perspective. Lynch will destroy Tommo or Petty I feel.

Max gonna have to play behind the ball a lot in that game to help out.

In: Hibberd, Petty
Out: May, Jordon (rested)

Good game to bring in Petty before taking on the Tigers. If the Hawks go with the Lewis / Kozi / O'Brien (if he gets a run - 6 disposals yesterday) forwardline then we can have Petty and Tomlinson take Lewis and Kozi and use Lever to play off O'Brien.

Whilst Brayshaw was pretty decent playing half back, Hibberd takes that spot and Brayshaw moves into the role Jordon was playing.

Max to drop deep and cover off McEvoy and Ceglar pushing forward. Hawks played 3 talls in defence yesterday so not sure if they'll go with that again, given our tall targets were Jackson and TMac, neither of whom hit the scoreboard yesterday.

Alternatively could send Petty forward if the Hawks talls up forward aren't doing much.

Melk would want to have a good game, thought he was largely anonymous and only had 4 effective disposals (1 of which was the gimmie goal he kicked in the last).

Might be a rare opportunity for Petty to develop in the seniors and for us to see what he has, so definitely aim to give him as many runs as possible. Might turn out to be dreadful, I haven’t cared too much for what I’ve seen of his KPD ability.
I thought he did a few good things in that praccy match against Richmond. I honestly don't think I'd seen him play KPD prior to that

He did in his mare of a debut

Think I said Petty's debut was the worst I've ever seen in my life at the time. 😂

I gave him no hope of becoming anything after that game, but tbf to him, like others said, he looked pretty good as a forward.

I keep expecting a crazy Goody team selection week! Hasn't happened yet.

Will be interesting to see which way he goes. Petty or Hibberd. Jordon or Sparrow could possibly need a rest too. I'd only rest one. Maybe just swap Jordon and Sparrow and have JJ as sub this week. I'd be hesitant to make any changes atm unless it's injury based. Have to reward the 22 atm as they are all playing for each other and playing their role.

Scrap my comments about Lewis - he's been suspended for striking. Unless they throw in Conor Nash then there aren't any other talls who are fit / AFL ready.

Don't necessarily need to bring in a KPD for May against the hawks, but we will need them against Richmond.
We will need another against the Tiges, so we will bring one in this week, to maintain our structures and momentum. Plus the player coming in will be green, so they will need a run with the senior players, to familiarise themselves prior to the Tiges, Saturday-night game.

Mitch Lewis got 1 week so wonder who they bring in for him

Will be either Jacob Koschitzke, who will be playing his third game or Emerson Jeka, who will debut...your defenders will have a field day..

our forward line is up there with the worst in the afl...

Breust (in terrible form), Koschitzke/ceglar, Moore
Brockman (fourth game), O’Brien/Jeka, Wingard

Dylan Moore, a rookie listed small forward has been our best forward this year..99% of you guys would never have heard of him or would know him if you saw him on the street.

Shithouse call on nibbler, been very good for us this year. Been our best kick inside 50 this year no doubt. Did he have a great game against the cats? Nah. Neither did Pickett but the unit still did it's job. Horrible call.

I reckon we will do one of 2 things, either Petty or Hibberd comes in straight swap for May, or we bring in a runner and push Tmac back when we bring in Brown.
I'd elevate Daw for this week, so he's ready to take on the Tiges the following week. His speed and athleticism would be very welcome down back.
IMO, Petty Weide and BBrown all need more game time for their fitness before they are called upon.

The time is right to see how Daw goes with our current players and setups.

I'd like to see Daw for May, and Hibberd for Jordan.

No way should Daw get a game before Petty. Petty has been in good form in the VFL. Also Petty has done a pre season & Daw hasn't so how can you say Daw is fitter?

Because Daw has tained well past few weeks with us, and is coming off a season at North last year. He played a half at CHB last week.

Petty hasn't played a game since some time in 2019, and is coming off more than 12 months of serious groin issues... so i would have him play a month of VFL games, before thinking about him.

I didn't want Melk in last week but we can't drop him after one game, but he has to show some improvement this week or he's in strife I reckon. Would be looking forward to playing Brown, Weid, Jackson (who rotates around the ground a lot anyway), Fristch, Spargo, ANB and Pickett without Melk or Tmac (unless Tmac plays some ripping games and keeps Weid out).

I reckon you’ll bring Koschitzke back in.

He was rested this week supposedly, rather than dropped.

You guys definitely could do with another decent tall forward to help, but I think you’re better off taking a mature age and using some picks at the top end of the draft.

Word that Emerson Jeka may get a debut, I follow the hawks reasonably close coz frosty but from what I've read on there, he's had a stellar preseason and come from nowhere same with Koschitzke.

He's kicked 11 in 2 weeks in the VFL. Strong chance to play, but doubt would have much impact in his debut.
Kozi and OBrien the other 2. Neither are world beaters.

You guys should win easily.

Rumours that Gunston might get up for this week, which might stretch our defence a little if true, but you'd think it's unlikely. Think I'd still be confident in our defence regardless.
