Would definitely go in unchanged unless Chad comes up which seems unlikely

That is what p****** me off the most. Not so much as a backward glance to see if the kid got up. Scum.
Yebbut.....that's differentTo be fair, our. very own SPP absolutely laid out Robbie Young in our internal trial and did absolutely the same thing

Ah Chee running at a disposal efficiency of 44% with 5 turnovers is an out this week which brings Palmer, AJ and Gus into contention

Disposal efficiency is a rubbish stat. His disposal efficiency was low because he was in the guts getting 10 contested possessions and 4 clearances, putting him in the top 4 of our side in both. And he did all that despite playing only 62% gametime, the lowest of anybody on the ground other than debutant Jordan Cunico.
Arch had a good game. Anybody who hasn't already unfairly put a line through his name will see that.

He was also in the guts getting the grand total of 1 tackle.
His game wasn't the worst, but he needs to get better. Ebert had 10 tackles, Wines had 8 tackles, Powell-Pepper had 4.
I'd rather put Boak in his spot, have him swap with Wingard and put Monfries up forward. I'm not putting a line through his name, but if we're about winning a flag, he's not in our best side IMO.
We've got Amon and S. Gray playing midfield/half forward roles who have been in the side nearly all year without progressing beyond the level of 'his game wasn't the worst, but he needs to get better'. I'd rather see either of those two go out before Arch. a) they've both had more chances than Arch without really doing anything more with them, b) they don't have Arch's big body, and c) Amon doesn't offer Arch's flexibility to play in the guts.

i just think that he has now been on our list for 6 years and is closer to 25 than 21, do we persist with him or do we put games into younger guys?
We would have delisted him last year if he wasn't contracted and no club was interested in the trade period.
We've made mistakes previously with O'Shea, Moore and Butcher where we've held on to them longer than what we should have.
O'Shea played 81 games for us. Moore played 55. Take out all of his 2015 vests and Ah Chee has played 18. No comparison whatsoever.
I really don't understand the mentality among a fair chunk of our supporters that Ah Chee is some veteran who should be an elite senior player by now. He's played 9 more full games of AFL football than Sam Powell-Pepper.
If anybody in this thread was calling for SPP to be dropped after he'd had 17 contested possessions and 4 goals over a two week period, they'd be told to get their hand off it.
We persisted with O'Shea and Moore longer than what we should have. How many years do we give him given this is his 6th? he is on the verge of being a senior player (by age) in our squad. Do we persist or do we have a look at an 18 year old next draft? SPP is 5 years younger than Arch and already playing better footy.
I'd love to see Arch succeed but am nervous that at some point we miss out on drafting a kid with better long term potential. At almost 24 years of age and 3 years of AFL footy, I am expecting more from him.
I became an instant DBJ fan last year like a lot of us. But he's gone backwards this year where I was expecting more of the same or even some improvement. You are right on the money with all of those criticisms cookie boy, DBJ in particular has been disappointing this season, and for the reasons you have given.
Amon is very inconsistent and is probably only getting a gig because he is such a good kick, but he doesn't get anywhere near enough of it, and Impey can look a million bucks one week, and very ordinary the next.
I'm well and truly on the Ken bandwagon, I always have been.
I'd really like Ken to make a statement this week and drop people who deserve to be dropped. Sounds simple enough but Ken has had a reluctance to drop players when they've been out of form in the past.
Out:
Trengove - This will be unpopular, I admire his lion heart efforts and club first ethos but he's contributing little other than a chop out for Ryder atm. I nearly chose Westhoff here but I wouldn't drop both at once.
Young - Was out form before being dropped, I cannot explain why he was brought back in.
Hartlett - If they continue to play him across half back they're wasting his, the clubs and all of our time. We seemed to learn quickly that Polec wasn't a half back, taking far longer with Hammer. We've got a multitude of hb's to cover him without a like for like change.
In:
Marshall - Kid has talent, maybe a tad early but he will produce at least the same output as Trengove and very possibly a whole lot more if backed in. Give him a taste in a big game, he'll rise to the challenge. Use Westhoff in the role Trengove has been playing this year.
Eddy - Just a far better forward option than Young right now.
Monfries - In form and demands to be picked.
Yeh I didn't like that too much. Everyone went up to pat SPP on the back and left Robbie hanging. Its a tough game but SPP is fantasticTo be fair, our. very own SPP absolutely laid out Robbie Young in our internal trial and did absolutely the same thing
Maggies played against him this weekend and kicked 3 on Austin so I'm not surprised he's sorta a topic.I find a strange sense of comfort in reading the changes thread after yet another close loss and still seeing Butcher's name pop up in the last few pages. Never change big footy.
