kid plays 15 minutes of very good footy after waiting a couple of years for his chance, and when two of our prime movers who play in his position are injured and out the next week, you dont want him to play? ??

i want him to either play a full game, or continue his development with the maggies. THe sub is an impact player, not someone that has to adjust to the pace of the game

He did perfectly well to 'adjust to the pace' last week in his first taste of AFL in a nail biter.

Even if he was on crutches etc, rule 1 of lower leg injuries - put no weight or stress on area and let it recover.

you mean he didnt do anything glaringly wrong, and layed off a good handball that resulted in a goal. but keep it real, your talking about a guy that had 3 disposals!!

im not knocking him. im just saying that i would prefer he was beating up the track for a full game, and that the sub role is more suited to a seasoned impact player

Composure to find a man on the run on his own with a difficult handball to put us in front where he could have blazed away. 3 tackles in the thick of it.

What the hell are people's expectations of a first game player who plays half a quarter of footy? He definitely deserves to play again, especially if it's only as the sub.

I didnt expect anymore from him. he did ok. im not knocking him, my point is that playing as a sub in a clash against the reining premier where he is bound to come on when its real hot probably isnt suited what we need at that moment. I think we need a matty white etc to be coming at that moment.your seriously missing the point.

anyway, not worth arguing over. agree to disagree on this one.

we dont have to replace a like for like player. id have had stewart out there in a defensive role and moved broady into the guts
