Define hitouts to advantage.

Does that mean he palmed the ball straight into the lap of a team mate?

If so i don't beleive the stat.

Laycock won quite a few hitouts but they were no way near as effective as Hilles.

Laycock had 15 hitouts at 27% to advantage Bryan had 14 at 29% and Hille had 10 with 10% to advantage. Although Hille does so much more around the contest when the ball hits the deck.

Laycocks job is to provide Hille a rest from the ruck. He did that perfectly on the weekend, as Hille was freed up and had an impact around the game.

Maybe not perfectly... When Hille went off the ground for about 7 mins in the second term and the Pies kicked 4 goals while Laycock was rucking, luckily Hille came back on and we scored the next 3 :D:D:D

Probably because when Hille came off they put in their second ruckman to rest up Bryan. I don't even know the name of Collingwoods bloke he's that shit.

Whenever Laycock went into the ruck we got killed.

Try watching the game again. When Laycock was in the ruck in the third quarter we actually kicked three goals to break the game open again.
Do you guys watch games with your eyes shut ?

Dont want to mention the third quarter when we kicked three goals to establish our lead again while Laycock was rucking ?

What about every other instance in the last few weeks when Hille's been replaced in the ruck by Laycock and we've gotten smashed.

Well who are you going to play ? an 18 year old who is not ready and wont win much of the ruck yet ?
If we had another second string ruckman with some experience then yes but som,e of you seem to have taken the Laycock bashing to a level even higher than Bolton bashing ever got to:eek:
Yes his form has been a bit patchy but at least in the last few weeks he has been near the ball. We are stuck with him for now so he plays second ruck.
FFS he still wears a Black and Red jumper. It is almost like some of you want him to fail so you can line up and have another bash the next week.

Didn't notice that probably too used to seeing when he stuffs up to notice when he does something good:D:D. I'm not a laycock hater he does have huge potenial he needs to do alot more defensively such as second efforts and sheparding.

:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Is Laycock improving. Wow, thats a surprise, how old is Hille> 27 i think. Laycock 24 nearly, so in three years Laycock may not be as good as Hille but he will be a more than handy back up for Hille and with a third srting ruckmen in Bellchambers coming through, well who knows, most premiership teams have a good ruck combo.

so im in with Ant on this one

In hidsight, the thought of Lucas not playing may be good, as the options of Warnock -> Lloyd (FF) and Garland -> Mcphee (CHF) would be better suited, as Mcohee is a much more agile player that Lucas, and if all reports are correct then it is suppose to bucket down with rain in the morning. Would be good, small forward in for a tall forward, different to years gone by when it was a tall in for a tall.

Quick note, Under 16s finals are being played as 'curtainraisers' any one going to these. see the future of the future of the AFL playing, any one going to see VM play.

Reimers, Monfries, Welsh, McPhee, Hille...

yeah they can potentially kick goals but welsh is a tagger he cant really be relied on to kick goals... monfries is more a lead up HFF and is more responsible for containing defenders who provide run and although he can kick goals its not his primary role and it shouldnt be.. mcphee has been playing defence lately.. hille is a ruckmen and shouldnt be relied on to kick more then 1 or 2 goals and reimers is a player who has played a total of around 15 games and cant be relied on to kick a bag... we saw how our forward line struggled earlier in the season without a good target in the forward line, hence why i think mal should be FF for the match

my point is what if lloyd has a bad game? we will struggle to kick a total.. another target down forward is needed

I went home and watched the game again last night.
Turns out Collingwood kicked 11 goals, all while Laycock was in the ruck.
The goals we did kick while Laycock was rucking were all incidental.

I thought it must just be a coincidence, so I went back and watched the Richmond game. And what do you know, 16 goals, all while Laycock was rucking.
Even the goal Laycock kicked was an accident.

Probably? You're dealing with probably's, guesses, not true reflections from having watched the game.

Bryan is Collingwood's second ruckman. Wood is their first ruckman.

Whenever Laycock went into the ruck we got killed.

When Collingwood challenged early in the third, it was Laycock who was in the ruck when we pressed forward, kicked three and killed any hope they had.

All an accident of course.

Guys coming back from injury are not quite ready according to Knights, and Lovett is no certainty.

OUT: Lucas
IN: Lovett or Magin or Hooker or Williams

I have been watching this as well and when we made our mark in the third quarter against Collingwood Laycock was on the ground GETTING taps.
You point is correct in the first half though.

Out : Lucas
In : Lovett

We won't risk anyone else.
