I'm not saying Darling is a CHF, but he would play the position better than Fraser currently is.
The problem is that teams feel they can get away with playing a HB on Darling like Toovey. If you take McInness out who has been taking the 2nd KPD it leaves teams to double team Kennedy and to have a 3rd up at all our contests.

The double team isn't a big problem when we have Hill and Cripps in form. The opposition double teams, leaving us with a spare at the ground.

I think McInness has been decent, but Darling is more mobile and can play just as tall.

Pushing the topic line a bit - what about a change this week for the Fremantle Art Community. I noticed this sculpture outside Fremantle Oval and thought they are out-dated in the Mark of the Century and they now need to get NicNat's mark sculptured.

I might sneak down to freo and glue some dreadlocks on the statue.

Tough this week.

Barring any forced changes, I would be tempted to make only 1 change.

Out: colledge
In: yeo

I would not be surprised in all honesty if colledge stays up & bennell gets a run in the seconds, just for touch, more than anything. Seems to have lost a bit of confidence. I think we are a better side having him in, but he seems out of sorts at the minute.

I'd give sheed another week. Same with ellis & Hutchings. Hopefully darls is almost ready for wafl so we can start getting some minutes into him as well.

Hope we can put away the disappointment of losing brad Scott for brad Scott week & get up for JK's 150th!

Won't we be light on defenders if we remove Bennell for Sheed? Yeo will be back (for Colledge), but he won't be playing defence.

As much as it pains me to say it, I think Selwood may have Sheed's spot for the time being.

We usually play 7 defenders. We have played 8 the last two weeks. Swapping Bennell for Yeo will be getting things back to normal.

What a great spot to be in, to have these selection dilemas

Be interesting if we finally go with barrass

Shepp's efforts against the talls has to come up short soon

North have been playing 3 permanent talls - so we go again with shepp on someone like Waite or bring in barrass
Might be weather dependant - if it's dry Petrie, Brown and Waite could prove a handful. Barass had another solid game today so could well be in the frame for a callup

Decent call about the weather

Barrass was in the 25 this week - so he's clearly in the selectors minds

Teams can get away with playing a HB on darling when we deliver the ball like we have in the last couple of years. Sitting the ball on his head made him an easy pick off for defenders.

I reckon darling will be very happy to have the delivery we have given our forwards this year.

I like McInnes. I think he provides a good target for us, hits contests, and is smart with his ball use. The results haven't come his way yet, though. Needs to hit the scoreboard to take advantage of the time the ball spends i50. Otherwise I am unsure he will still be there when darling does come back, especially as we do have the luxury of our ruckmen having some forward ability.

Can Darling cycle down back to reinforce the defence or is he best maximised up forward?

And he travelled with the team for the St Kilda game

Barrass was named yet again in the best on Monday against West Perth (although McSpud was BOG). Not much more you can ask a KPD over the last 6 weeks. So in the selectors minds, looking like he should be considered and Sunday showed us up a little with the teams that have 3 big forwards.

Changes

Definite:
In: Yeo
Out: Bennell

Options:
In: Barrass - include if dry and if North playing big up front' (forecast is dry for Sunday afternoon but showers at night - 3.20 bounce down so unclear)
Out: Colledge (consider unlucky and will travel) or Duggan only if he is sore (love the way he contests - he was involved in a couple of heavy contests)

Side line - Lycett was injured and finished propped up in the forward line,

I wonder where Hutchings is at.

The guy has been in a black hole for a couple of weeks.

Injured his back and was a late out against the Saints i think

Rosa is easily best 22. On the team we played today for best 22.

In: Darling, Rosa, Yeo.
Out: Mcinnes, Colledge, Bennell.

Sheed, Duggan on the edge of best 22 and rotating through / Injury cover as well. Think Ellis' body has had enough and the 1 game he plays for the 2 he misses isn't worth it. (not including EMAC as he's out till next year) Both Sheed and Duggan if they are borderline 22 this year next year they will be fixed in. Some sleepless nights coming for some mids who have been entrenched in the side in the past.

FB Sheppard Schofield Hurn
HB Rosa Mcgovern Wellingham
C Gaff Priddis Masten
HF Lecras Darling Yeo
FF Cripps Kennedy Hill
R Nicnat Shuey Selwood
INT: Sinkers, Butler, Nelson, Duggan

Butler, Sheed, Duggan, Bennell, Sinclair, Lycett, Hutchings are at the fringe of the 22.
