It may not mean much coming from a guy who likes to eavesdrop on this forum and hardly posts, but I would have to agree with this statement. Some of the other topics being raised on the saints board have been good but the weekly changes thread has been full of pessimistic ugliness from what I can see. I have tried to stay away from this thread all week because of the reoccurring themes that have been talked about.
We aren't even halfway through the season. Curren will get his chance. He was put into a leadership role and from what I can tell on game day, is loving his football, probably from the fact that he has this backing from the coaching staff. Ledger will get his chance. If he continues his output and doesn't become dispondent which it sounds like its happening then Scott will have no choice but to name him. Tom Mitchell is a son of a gun and had to have the ball more than twice as much as what Tom is getting it, mind you in quite a weak competition.
Why aren't we talking about Jacko or that Wright and Saunders are already being brought back into the side. How about we talk about how good our future big body clearance specialist in Seb Ross is going to be once be starts running out games and getting 30+ touches. How about we talk about what we are building here, a legacy! I smell that same stench of the early millennium, when we were in the blackest of darkness after being up for so long, and finding it hard to justify even going to the football, but god just look at these kids???
I'm going on Sunday against North, not because I want to see us throttle them, that's not my motivation although a win would be great. I want to see Jacko. I want to see Wright streaming down the wing. I want to see Webster play a full game again and show off that pace and footy smarts. I want to see Seb do his matrix thing when time stops and he gets to choose who he passes to from about ten options running through his mind. I want to see Newnes lay some massive tackles like he did against the Blues. I want to be inspired!
For every gun mid north have, we have a young guy who should be learning off them. Put Seb on Swallow. Put Newnes on Cunningtom. Put Wright on Harvey. Lets see what they can do!
I'm not saying I don't agree with what some people are saying on here, in a lot of ways I'm as frustrated as most of you, but we will look back on this year like we did on 2000-02 and know that this was the start of something. We have the beginnings of a very good side fellas, so lets talk about that! Not about who isn't getting a go, or who should be dropped/traded. Frankly I hope none of our top players get traded off because at this stage they are far too valuable for us.

scotty watters coaching isnt to blame for our peril right now
you are better than that sheeza
I said this statement early in the week and I will stick by it he must go back to the vfl and not come back until he shows formWhy would Saad be safe, he is over rated and a 1 trick pony speed is all he brings to the table.
He never gets front and centre his pressure acts have dropped off, he needs a holiday to recapture and also remember what got him in the side in the first place. He has become too comfortable with his position within the side.
