Nelson doesnt use the ball well....ahahahahahaha..

I havent seen too many of our players hit a player up from a contest under pressure like he did with Cripps last night, and then Shuey a little later, both kicks went to their target in the forward line to our players advantage, both resulted in goals. I wonder what game people are watching sometimes..

Look I like nelson a lot and we should persist, but I would disagree his kicking has been a feature thus far in his career. I'm interested to see him getting more midfield minutes and what he can do with his disposal under pressure, he is showing some good signs he will be a good player with ball winning ability.

Also will be good to see Duggan playing ball in the wafl. This kid needs more midfield time when he is the seniors.

The team composition felt off last night - brown, mcgovern, schoey and barrass all in the team?

drop brown and either bring giles in, or play mcgovern in ruck/floating back

nelson earned his spot. so did ginners - as much as i hate to admit it.

Hill comes back, probably at the expense of jetta or lecca. sheed gets a look in depending on how he pulls up from the wafl.

Brown was basically playing Lycett's usual role. He was ok but I think Giles or FMac could force their way back in with a good game tomorrow.

Sheed's on limited minutes this week so would need at least another game in the WAFL at a minimum.

I don't know who comes out for Hill, Lecca won't be dropped and I think the other candidates (Ginners, Nelson, Jetta) were all good enough to hold their spot. On pure performance it'd be Jetta but I think it's in his best interests for the club to keep playing him and build up his confidence. Nelson might be the unlucky one.

If Duggan has a decent game I'd like to see him back in as well but it's tough to find a spot.

I think Sheed should put a solid 4 weeks in at EP. He has missed a huge amount of footy.

Maybe back for the Collywobbles to get a run on the MCG, assuming he gets through his games at EP without issues of form or injury.

I'd rather see Mcinnes play that role that Brown. He was poo in front of goals.

I reckon McInnes got a bit hard done by. Played down back against Brisbane which was not going to help him show his best.

Forwards down back. Backs playing forwards. *Doctor Nick Riviera to the Match Committee room*

Nelson took out their best mid in Zaharakis and contested scrapped applied pressure and then started to find the ball .He won't be out this week .This was his 1st serious outing in the midfield not a star now but worth preserving with .

On that though, anyone with Zaharakis in their dream team knows he can't handle a tag even slightly.

well you can run with that line if you want to make excuses for him but I prefer to think he was soundly beaten by Nelson .

Everyone available ....I'm not sold Nelson is in our best 22

I like him and think yup potential is great ...but he's not going to be a star midfielder

Sheed and Duggan will be be better players long term[/QUOTE
Quoted and memorised for future reference:rolleyes:

Apart from bringing in Hill (if he's over his tonsillitis) would not bring in any if the others until their form for EP warrants it. When players get dropped to the 2s it's usually for a good reason, ie. Their form is down. No favourites please. On present form does Le Cras need to be dropped before Jetta? Srs question.

This gem was fantastic

Yep also did a double take on that one.

If EMac has a good game for EP i'd do a swap for brown to counter the Norf talls.

Hill has to come in you'd think, and while i was reasonably happy with his game Jetta is the obvious one to miss

Out: Brown
In: EMac

Gov to pinch hit
No. We dont want to injure one of our most important player. Against goods side he is basically our flood gate. Plus brown offered more in the ruck than him

I actually thought Brown was serviceable in the ruck, he was better than Giles the week before anyway.
Given more time back in the side, surely he'd improve some more?

Give him another crack I say.

being serviceable against 2 injured ruckmen is nice and all, but not sure it's going to cut it against goldy & daw?

Hasn't Goldstein been injured as well? The games I have seen recently he hasn't looked to be travelling that well. Maybe the bye was all he needs to be ok? Seems very sore to me.

Brown moved well

He looked fumbly a bit but hey he's always been like that

He actually looked OK forward

I love the fact we have two guys in gov and BIG TOMMY B who can mark the ball down back

I reckon Barrass is locked in for a while ....I know it was a weak opponent but he looked good

Brown and gov can rotate back and fwd ....pinch hit in the ruck also ...flexibility

eMac is big defender and that's it ......emac will struggle to get back in in my view and hey we love the guy

But he's limited

Not jumping or moving that well at the moment.

Nic Nat a massive loss, would have run rings around him, even with inflamed tendons.
