Changes vs Port in Rd 7

Out: Griffen
In: Sandilands

Menagola's form warrants selection but I'm not sure who you would drop to bring him in.

Spurr? Honestly didn't think he added much to the team. Or maybe Broughton if he is rubbed out by the review committee.

I thought that Dylan Roberton played at WAFL pace and was very slow in both speed and decision making. Great mark and goal though. Lee Spurr was great in the last quarter after also playing at WAFL intensity after being subbed on. Lachie Neale is now a permanent player in our 22 for mine. That kid is going to be a....whoops...better not jinx him.

Sandi in for Griffin.

Love to see Silvagni given a try though.

JVB is due for another run.

Menengola to be elevated.

Mora back to Peel this weekend.

I haven't been a big Roberton fan in the past but what he did with his possessions was good. Let him stay I say.

he gets a bum wrap i reckon roberton... i rate him, and always have

If Hill is out, JVB. He seems the most in-form physically mature mid we have in the wafl. Would consider Walters if he is training his arse off.

If JVB ever plays in our jumper again, i will spew, the guy is a
g-grade hack.... and the worst player on our list by a long way

Not sure how people can be calling for Morabito to play, even if it is as the sub. He is best 22 yet has missed 28 straight AFL games and in that time only successfully got through a half in the reserves. No way in hell will Ross play him.

morabito isnt even quarter of the player that mundy is, and look at how mundy is struggling without a preseason... morabito should be made to play 6 wafl league games for peel before being considered.

I'm staggered with some of the suggestions of dropping dawson given that he has been the key component in the only functioning area of our game :o:confused:

roberton did more than enough to keep his spot... spurr i would think would be dropped with griffin

In: Sandi and Silvagni.

Out: Griffin, Roberton or Hill (if hes still sore.)

Since Dawson and McPharlin are doing ok in the backline, I would want Silvagni in Then give Michael Johnson a full game in the Foward 50.

Dawson won't be axed, and McPhee has been good all year IMO. Some people just like whipping boys, as you should know being a long-time Johnno fan.

Would think Sandi in for Griffin if fit would be the only change. Spurr and Roberton would be next in line to get the chop, not sure who'd replace them though (I've given up on Silvagni getting a game for the time being).

Agree with this.

Sandi in for Griffin is the only change. Hill will be OK. Spurr will get another run as the sub I reckon... Lachie might get the red vest this week.

Would love to see Crozier get a game, but I don't reckon Ross will give him a run for a little while yet.

If Duff has another game like that one I reckon he might be put under a bit of pressure, but he'll get a run this week.

Out : Dawson , Griffin , DeBoer

In : Silvagni , Sandilands, Walters.

Dunno what game you were watching?

Is that a troll?

MJ has probably been our most consistently good defender across the season. I know we're trying to get Silver a game, but I think it's very, very unlikely that MJ will be sent into the forward line. He's been playing beautifully in defence. Am eating humble pie after giving him a flogging on these boards last year. The last thing you'd want to do is mess with his form by throwing him forward.

Silvagni may get a run as a tall target this week with Kep injured and JA not in brilliant form. But don't think MJ down forward will get a gurnsey.

In Sandi, Silvagni, Mora (if ready)
Out: Griff, Robbo, Crowley (only in if specific tagging job)/Hill (if sore)

On a positive note, thought Spurr was good when he came on. Saw him float through half back for a good mark, then run and hit a teammate on the chest. 10 minutes quicker than powder puffield.

Feel sorry for Neale copping the booing for looking like Ballas. Poor kid, first full game and he gets booed whenever near the ball. Obviously GC fans don't know what the big numbers on the back of jerseys mean.

Couldn't disagree more. MJ has been (nearly) great in the backline. I would think that Jack Anthony would be back before this happens. I dont recon Ross has written him off yet. I hope he doesnt come back untill he starts kicking a few in WAFL. Till then, not sure.

Out: Griffin, Duffield

In: Sandi, Crozier/Menegola

While I doubt duff will get dropped, he is weak as water in a one on one contest. Everytime you just know he will go to ground or be outbodied and it really isn't good enough for a supposed defender, especially a senior player. Spurr can play a full game and Croz/Menagola can be sub, reward for form in the WAFL.

We'll have to be on our game as Port are copping it big time in the press, you would expect them to come out with something to prove.

They had something to prove last week and were weak as piss.

Heard Lyon on the radio again mentioning rewarding good wafl performances and naming Crozier as a possibility. It's funny considering how bad we played for much of the GC game, I look at the list and am unsure who I'd drop to fit him in if there are no injury concerns. I think roberton/spurr have shown enough to be given another week and Neale even more so.

Two big weeks after this so if anyone was 50/50 injury wise and could benifit more from a week off then playing I'd risk giving someone like Crozier a look, otherwise just the Sandilands change (if he's 100%).

I have to agree that MJ has had a good season so far in defence. His confidence and overall disposal skills have improved since this time last year.

I just dont want Silvagni to rot in the WAFL.

Even though Port are coming in with a 1-5 record, I still wouldnt underestimate them.

If hes not injured, I would love Nick Lower to return and punish his former club.:D

I doubt Crozier will actually come in, but perhaps Balla is on thin ice? His form has been average at best and let the side down a bit too. Maybe Hill is definitely out and he's thinking Crozier for him?
