Yeah, it's not as if we ever lose by less than a goal or two. ;)

Yes, because there aren't 21 other players on the team or the opposition rushing it through.

Unless we kick 15.2 it's a bit hard to blame any one player on their goal kicking.

Given that, I thought I'd just raise a couple key stats:
- Port are still #1 in the comp for marks inside 50. While it may appear we are crying out for another tall forward, this would certainly indicate that we dont.
- Port are still #1 for inside 50's in the comp. Indicating that we are still getting it in there a lot. So if we are marking it a lot as well, maybe our biggest issue is the ability to actually finish, and/or win the ground ball. Theoretically with this stat we should have the most marks, however we should also be putting a far greater score on the board and maybe the coaches are seeing that our ability to get the ball at ground level when it is in there is a problem.
The marks inside 50 stat can be misleading if a large percentage of marks are hard up on the boundary where the likelihood of converting a major is almost impossible for anyone else in our side bar Schulz. You said it yourself our conversion rate doesn't match up with the amount of inside 50's.

We went from 2nd to bottom 6 the last few rounds for conversion once inside 50, our problem getting ground ball for Wingard & co is because we rely too much on Jay & the opposition defenders outmark the smalls & rebound fairly easily from goal scoring positions.

I don't think the constant questioning over selection is as much about Butcher/Shaw being left out moreso that Mitchell & Gray are automatic selections whilst the likes of an in form Newton continually gets overlooked.

Young being a permasub is something I find particularly annoying when he's doing more in 1 qtr than Mitch does in a whole game, just saw the official teams & no surprise Kane's kept his spot yet again.

What is it with the constant S.Gray inclusion ffs..!!
Has done heck all since his debut against a depleted Brisbane team, and yet is the first in..???

If Young is the sub I will lose my shit...!!!
If Young is sub it will be extremely disappointing. I'm not sure what Newton hasn't done to deserve a call up. Can't see him sticking around next season, I guess he'll be part of any Lycett trade that occurs.

I think the changes are great.... Provided Young gets a full game and Mitchell is Sub. If he is sub again it will be a huge disappointment.

Absolutely love that Logan is back in the team, really think he is a gun and far more useful than Cassisi in the backlines. Hope he keeps his spot now for the rest of the year.

I'm inclined to keep Mitchell in the side as the super sub.

In reality, we should have been playing Logan instead of Mitchell these past couple of weeks but this week we're at Docklands, it will suit Mitchell's hard running, especially in the second half of the game.

I'm not sure what's with Cassisi, seems out of it in a big way. Monfries has been poor 3 weeks in a row.

My changes:

In: Moore, Shaw
Out: Cassisi, Monfries

Well, was half way there.

Been thinking for a couple weeks now that Newton may as well go start training with West Coast.

I wonder if dom will play for the Maggies. Listed as omitted.
I think because the AFL game is the day after the SANFL game they might save the 3 emergencies just in case.

Final team
PORT ADELAIDE smalls Sam Gray and Tom Logan will don the club's clash jumper on Sunday afternoon after being included in the Power's final team to face Richmond.
Gray comes in for the injured Angus Monfries who will miss the encounter with a hamstring injury, while Logan replaces fellow defender Dom Cassisi who has been omitted from the team.
