Int: Bellchambers, Houli, Lonergan, Reimers
Emerg: Lucas, Davey, Zaharakis

You obviously don't read these boards enough. Probably the most criticised player on here. Personally I'm a fan and it's evident so are the coaching staff and selection committee. If he's fit then he will be in the side.

I only said that he hasn't really given anyone reason to criticise, not that people haven't found unwarranted reasons to do so. ;)

If it were up to me i'd say no change, but i have a feeling the only change will be:

In: Monfries

Out: ???

Nobody was terrible, would like to give Hooker a run in the 2's but we need him to give Ryder a hand.

There is no way Lucas will be dropped this week c'mon people, have a real hard think about it.
Hooker to have a rest, got smashed in 3rd quater by Hahn last week and went into ruck gave another goal or 2 away, it's by no means the end of him.
Big Belly to come in and run around with Vickery this week, senior experience will be invaluble. Can see Paddy dominating on Sunday.
Houli must be close if Jobes out, he's in, Houli will just keep knocking on the door until an oppurtunity arises, which will be sooner rather than later.

OUT: Lucas, Reimers, Lonergan.

IN: Neagle, Monfries, NLM.

Lucas, just not good enough, needs a longer run in the VFL if he wants a spot up forward again, otherwise the only reason we should keep him in the side is for him to play down back. Hopefully Neagle will bring something to our un-commited forward line.

Reimers was very lazy against the dogs, wouldn't follow his man into contests, we also have enough midfielders as is, playing flank and forward roles.

Lonergan, bit stiff, but we need an extra tall for this game. NLM seems to do large amounts of damage against Richmond usually and we can play him anywhere.

Out: Lucas (sorry Scotty but, we need to pick blokes in form),
oh dear

dear oh dear oh dear

Since returning from his sabbatical

vs. Adelaide: 4 goals
vs. Melbourne: 3 goals
vs. Carlton: 3 goals
vs. Collingwood: 3 goals
vs. Sydney: 3 goals (not to mention he passed off another 2/3 opportunities in case anyone thought he was selfish)
vs. WBD: 0 goals

I'm not sure if he deserves to come in this week but I hope to see Zaharakis come back into the side soon, maybe for the trips to Perth. He gives us that extra option in the midfield and across half forward, and I think he'd complement our new look midfield (with Welsh and Prismall) quite well.

Bellchambers for Hooker would be ideal..

Then I suppose we'd keep Lucas in the side, and let him lerk around Half Back.. Hurley, Pears and Fletcher are certainly able enough to handle the last line of defence. And hooker doesn't have much of a matchup this game anyway. He's only in the side at the moment to backup Paddy in the ruck.

Any of the guys that go training (Ant, efcboy) has Welsh trained this week?

Houli is incredibly stiff to still be playing VFL, hasnt done much wrong.

From memory Houli did a great job on tagging Nahas out of the game last time Essendon played Richmond. Coupled with the fact he has been solid at VFL I would have thought he is a strong chance to play.

IN - Monfries & T-Bell

OUT - Reimers & Hooker

They are the only changes that i think need to be made. No dropping Spike, Davey or Lucas.

Well said, Zaharakis deserves another shot before the end of the year.

He is a future star and needs the experience and lead time into final(s)at the end of the year.

Oh and even as a n00bie, dropping Lucas is crazy talk.

He may be slow, turns like the QEII and has no left side but for his entire time at Essendon he fulfills 2 of these criteria.

I can remeber thinking that 2001 Grand Final would be the making of him (funnily enough it was for him but not for the side).

He has been quite good (but not great since coming back), please don't drop him for one ordinary game against quality opposition...

Nope no left side at all ;)
