If any changes -

OUT: Beams (for a rest)
IN: Wellingham

Rocca one more week in the VFL then back to FF to get 2 AFL games under his belt and primed for the finals.

Ive always said we cant have 2 low possession defenders in Presti and N.Brown in the backline all the time. Goldsack has great closing speed and has good mobility and Leigh Brown can pinch hit in the ruck if he plays back and gets stuff all possessions so they are better options atm.

I hope Nathan Brown can develop this part of his game.

B: Toovey - Prestigiacomo - Maxwell

HB: Shaw - Goldsack - O'Brien
C: Lockyer - Swan - Johnson
HF: Didak - Cloke - Thomas
F: Medhurst - Dawes - Anthony
FL: Wood - Pendlebury - Davis
INT: Dick - O'Bree - Wellingham - L. Brown

Beams needs a rest.

Interesting considering over the past 7 games hes 5th in disposals for us and kicked 10 goals and been important to our team.keep him going i say not quite sure why ud leave him out whilst in form.:thumbsu:

I'd give Beams one more game, we are only playing Richmond, he'd have an easier game for us than he would in the VFL.

I will seriously be pissed if Dawes goes out, his 2nd half last week was very good.

I wouldn't make any changes, give Nath Brown one more week in the twos, possibly even two more weeks as he may not be needed against the Swans.
Actually he may not be needed against the short people from the west either.

God i dunno, maybe we should play him this week so he gets a game before the finals.

Too much thinking, argh.

No change.

Agree.
No Change.
Team stability is as important as anything about now.

Medders needs to find the sticks, Daisy needs to be given his head, Dawes needs to build on his good last half, Dick (see Medders), Goldsack needs to consolidate, Swan needs another 3 votes, Wood (See Goldsack), JA (See Dawes), Cloke needs to kick a bag and the rest of the side has to throw off some of the shackles from two very tight defensive, zone orientated games.

We have won a little ugly the last 2 weeks, time to win pretty and smash the Tiges and bring home a huge haul of goals with the entire side playing themselves into some outstanding form.

If I had to name a single player who I'd bring in as an absolute luxury I'd nominate Rocca to come on at FF in the last quarter just for the run and to get a feel, but only if the proposed "smashing" was well and truly in the bag.

I know...perfect world stuff but you have to be positive.:D It's worked for me so far this year.

yea no way Leroy will be dropped before his 200th.
And there is no reason to drop him, I think there is room for leroy/wood/fraser, just means Dawes misses out, but he has been super impressive so far.........

Tough calls, but no change unless they think beams needs a rest.

maby nate for the sack, but the sack has been solid though.

I think we have gone past dropping games like this. We have too many good players now unlike in the past when we did drop these type of games. Also spots are up for grabs so if players drop of they could find themself in the seconds.

Also its Leigh Brown's 200th game this week and we owe him for all his done for the Black & White.

I hope so, I'm not fully confident, another grand final..

Am i the only one that thinks Pendles has come back from the knee looking a fair bit bigger? especially in the last two weeks i don't know what it is but he looks like he's added more bulk around the shoulders...

It's Joel Bowdens final game, but I can't see us getting anywhere near you guys.

Me either. But I also couldn't see West Coast getting within cooee of the Dogs last week. Richmond is one of the teams that seem to 'get themselves up' to play against us. Bowdens farewell game, Rawlings gave them a public pasting backed up by favourite son Richo, Gale's signing.....

We all seem to think Toovey will run with Cousins which is fine but that leaves Deledio.... Lids is a gun and on his day can be a powerhouse, I think he is more important to Richmond than Cus.

Tigers forward line appears weak however if Riewoldt fires he might be hard to stop (Even for Presti). Their backline on paper is also weak even with Bowden's inclusion I assume he'll go to Anthony at the start and when they realise JA is too quick he'll move to Dawes.....

I think we just need to be patient. Richmond are not a skilled side and we should just let them stuff it up for the first half then turn it on in the 2nd half.

Still if they all fire on the same day.....it might be closer than we all first hoped.

Tough one this week - My gut feeling is that Fraser won't play this week.
No one deserves to be dropped. Given that, I would probably drop anyone who has some more serious niggles to freshen them up and rotate players in who have been genuinely pushing for selection in the 2's.

However, given that selection is more conservative in the real world, and that we are not exactly in a position to flirt with form I expect no changes or at the very least Tooves or the Sack for Clark, and maybe Wellingham for the Beamer (rest not omission).

in the next 3 weeks were vsin teams who dont relly have tall fowards so what do we do with nathen brown? and if rocca comes in when?

If Rocca is to come in he comes in versus Sydney. Generally your second game back is the tough one, and we can't afford that in the qualifying final.

Also it may be a good idea to bring some freshies in after a taxing weekend to avoid a let down.

Last weekends Bulldogs v Eagles game came at a good time for us showing that if you have a let down, even the lower ranked sides can get you.

You could bring in a midfielder like Wellingham just giving us 1 more midfield rotation after a big weekend, or give MacAffer another run in the seniors just in case we need to recall him at any stage during the finals. Although MacAffer's role has changed.

I'd maybe even look at giving Reid a run over the next fortnight just in case.

I thought let Medders play himself into form but it's not working so maybe break the logjam with McCaffer who is very steady and clean.

It doesn't seem to be working but will he find form if he goes back in the VFL? There is only one way to find out and I suppose it wouldn't hurt to give it a go.

I don't think Mick will try it though. Hopefully it just clicks for Medders sooner rather than later.

The only changes might be Marty and Wellingham. for dare I say it Swan, Pendles or Leon .

I think it will be only 1 change but both Marty & Wellingham have had their games in the Magoos and it would increase our pool of players to 28. Sidey and Barham will have another week or so in the magoos

I expect Josh will play magoos for a run, Big Ant and N Brown will also have another week in the magoos. Josh gets through then Dawes goes out the following week

But I reckon Swannie, Pendles or Leon will not come up this week for one change being an in Wellingham.

With the footy he's missed Medhurst needs more game time not less .

He isn't that far away from a big game IMO and has been getting the footy just not converting as well as we'd like.
