Out: Butler, Naitanui
In: Selwood/Swift, Fletch

It pains me to both suggest we drop naita and bring in Fletch. In what will be a scrappy game, fletch will have some value. Also good opportunity for a send-off game. If Selwood is ready, he comes in, if not Swift. (if he is ready?)

Doesn't matter because we have rolled out the M1 Abrams :thumbsu:.

Do they come in blue 'n yella ???

Possible Outs: Houlihan, Butler

On Butler, today was another game where he had something like 12 possessions. He plays in the middle. I just can't see him improving. I hope I'm wrong.

And we got to drop one of talls, we need more runners.
Butler hasn't been playing in the middle. They've used him at half back, half forward and sometimes on the wing. He also spends about 20% of the game on the bench as they use him as a fill in on most positions. A bit hard to get huge possessions in this situation.

His plus is versatilty and a good football brain.

Why oh' why are some people suggesting we drop naitanui. Needs game time, good on the weekend plus we need a few of his trademark driving spear tackles on the shemantle brigade.

Some suggestions make me wonder whether people are taking the piss or genuinely dont know what they are talking about.
1) Hansen's kicked 3 goals in each of the last 2 matches - why would he be dropped.? Furthermore - if the Eagles are trying to build up his value for a trade at years end - how does playing him at Swans help that?
2) Lynch was in the Eagles best 5 against Port and has been consistently in the side for the last 2 years even when his form was not so good - how in the hell does anybody think he's going to get dropped now?
3) Naitanui - everybody has been looking forward to him playing and 2 games in they want him dropped. Seriously - WTF are you thinking about???

-- Young Selwood is still injured which rules him out,
-- Wilkes was less than ordinary on the weekend so there's no chance for him and why would you want to play a spud with little ability is beyond me ??
-- Swift was OK but nothing special and doesnt deserve a recall and needs more time at WAFL level to gain match time

The only 4 under question are Butler, Houlihan, Spangher and Seaby. Seaby is safe as no Cox, Houlihan probably safe as played only 1 game and Spangher was OK. Butler may be in trouble with Fletcher getting a recall.:thumbsu:

Wouldn't mind seeing if Lecras can spend a good chunk of his time running through the middle. Seems a good time to get his experience up in this area. Let Naitanui run amok up forward.

I think Spangher has been doing enough and showing some improvement week to week to keep his spot. He seems to be growing in confidence and taking his players on a bit more. Leave him I say. Wouldn't mind seeing Houlihan getting another chance. I didn't see him doing to much against Port but it was his first game back in a while and would like to see him get another chance.

I dont think we need to bring in Fletcher as Freo don't exactly have good experienced midfielders (besides Hase). They have so many young kids in their team so i think we should also play a young team, thus no changes necessary.

And Naita has to stay in just so he can have the chance to spear tackle Hill and break him in half!

I think one of Masten, Lecras, Kennedy needs to miss out or we could be a good chance to beat them. Luckily they have the crowd behind them to stop them from purposely tanking.

I'm sorry, do people not remember what happened when we recalled Fletcher to play the Dees? The Dees, people, the effing Dees.

We all said he should never ever play again. And that wasn't the first time. Why should 41 possessions in the WAFL make any difference? Even if they were 41 good ones, we all know what he'll do once he steps up to AFL again. The experience thing is overdone too. I think he should be left to teach the young blokes about as much as a pedophile should be left with a class of preschoolers.

I would go as far as to say that Feltcher's inept kicking is rubbing off on our boys. He's a negative influence on the rest of the team.;)
