So Jones for Ryan
Vardy for Waterman
Langdon for Petch
Witherden for Rotham
Foley for Edwards (presumably with Duggan moving up the ground)

Surprised at the number of changes even after a shocking loss, also a little surprised Rotham has been dropped. Don’t think we need Vardy either.
Would any of those players dropped be considered senior players?
Asking for a friend.

Good changes.

More attacking flair off half back.
Foley in means Duggan spends more time in the Midfield.

Petch was a bit stiff but Langdon and Jones have been playing well in the WAFL.

Vardy in means Allen stays in the FWD line.

Edwards will find his way back into the side soon

Happy with that to a degree. Would have rather the development of LEdwards over Langdon but he did only have 4 touches I suppose. Perhaps he might be the injury sub?

Never like seeing Vardy in the team but if it means Allen goes forward permanently then so be it and Waterman out facilitates that.

Happy to see Witherden and Foley back.

Well they’ve been dropped, and Simmo doesn’t drop senior players, therefore they can’t be senior players

It was our midfield that got comprehensively beaten last weekend. Backing the current group in because clearly Edwards wasn’t the reason for that. Hopefully we come with a better mindset this week.

But I suppose with a full week under their belts hopefully Kelly and Shuey (and Yeo to another extent) are going to be better for the run.

Like the ins, though. Even Vardy. He’s been unlucky not to have played more, Same with Jones and Witho.

Last week was, on paper, basically our best 22. Granted it was a bad loss but four unforced changes has the feel of a match committee lacking any real certainty about what they're trying to achieve. How much are we really going to get from playing Langdon over Petruccelle?

Disappointed with the changes.

Rotham was one of our better players last week and didn't deserve to be dropped. He offers versatility and is a good matchup for their mid-sized forwards in Heeney and Blakey.

Langdon and Vardy are known quantities who consistently offer SFA. Petch was bad last week but Langdon is bad almost every week and doesn't look cut out for it. If we're dropping Petch after his first game back (I don't think we should, personally) I'd much prefer we play Ah Chee, who at least has some modicum of athleticism and skill.

Vardy is a pointless player. It's an indictment on the creativity of our coaching staff that we haven't tried an alternative solution in the ruck, be in splitting responsibilities between the likes of Allen/Darling/Barrass or trying someone like Ah Chee as a faux-ruckman. Instead we're content with bringing back a bloke who is averaging 3.6 touches, 1.4 marks and 10 hitouts.

Overall, we have lost a fair bit of pace from a team that already looks slow. We're too tall in what looks like being a wet game.

Unsure why we've seemingly abandoned Brander and Williams. Brander finally looks like he belongs, gets injured and now can't get a look-in. Williams didn't set the world alight but he shows more than Vardy at AFL level and has promise. He got injured now can't get a look-in.

We need to stop persisting with plodders who won't improve and rehashing old ideas that didn't work then and won't work now.

I think they are looking for a bit more forward pressure. Foley and Witherden are in to help us transition out of defence quicker.
