Players must be relieved at the nearing of the end of Nix. Can only be about 10-12 games left before the club moves on him. Make Rahilly head coach until a successor is found. Can only hope skill is put back on the agenda.

Closer to an extension then being sacked at this point, though of course 2023 will decide that, seeing a sluggish couple of months could see us hit the panic button. Especially as we should be expected to be in that 7th-13th, ~ 10 win range and not seeing avoiding the bottom 4 as a positive season on the developmental side of things.

After all, over-performance is probably the correct way to describe our 2021 (seeing there were two wins against top 4 sides) and it was cemented in 2022 despite us throwing out a stereotypical Gold Coast like list.

Not really, results against what could be reasonably expected of a list is what matters, and if anything Adelaide is ahead of the ledger in the last two years.

The thing with skills, game plan etc for a young group is they'll improve over time if a place is ran properly, regardless of who is coaching. After all, it's a significant portion of improvement is just the squad getting older/fitter/bigger/stronger over time alongside the cyclic nature of sport where the weaker players are slowly getting filtered out by better options. It's not a case of "a coach who focuses on skills" improves it and regardless of what a coach focuses on, young teams tend to suck at football. It's an old persons game after all.
