Greenwood effectively shut down Yeo in the Granny. Now with Gaff back it's effectively a choice of 4 Yeo, Sheed's, Gaff or Shuey. Same for us Hutchings can go to Sidebottom, Beams, Adams or Pendles. I hope it's as good a game and I think both teams are as evenly matched as last year. Gonna be a cracker.
Why not Trelaor? Adams isn’t the type of player to get tagged

Looking forward to tomorrow

And here in London all trains are operating except for the ones that aren’t.

Yes. I am a Legends member with reserve seats.

What is all this negative talk about Roughead? I reckon he has done a great job so far as a key defender! Big test tomorrow night obviously but I will back him in!

He’s done well, but when his man leads to the ball he gets caught asleep and also a bit slow. Kennedy and Darling both like to lead so will be up to Roughead to play in front a bit.

Roughead has had 6 goals kicked on him. So far he has no scalps. Lets be real here.

I'll balance that by saying I'm really glad we have him. He is important to us now Dunn is down, he can play an important, albeit I reckon limited role for us.

I do think the quality of his performances are being over inflated at this early stage of the year.

Not sure too many have offered overly inflated assessments of Roughy. Improving week to week, playing his role, allows others more freedom seems to be it for the most part.

The selectors need to be directed to that footage to truly judge the player's worth. It's a shame they don't have access to the materials available on bigfooty.
I almost spat my beer out.

Nice.:thumbsu:

Any defender will get caught out if a forward gives a quick lead and the delivery is good. Blame players up the field when this happens, not the defender.

Context please. One goal was a soft free as a result of a push by Langdon. Hawkins copped some lace out service. Roughy has been fantastic. He has got his fist to a number of forward bombs and also marks the pill whenever possible. He has neat disposal and enormous flexibility. What game do some people watch?

Early days, we've only heard a fraction of the case, any jury that has come in with a verdict either way is out of their mind.

As for Roughead he’s been brought in for depth and was meant to be fighting it out with Dunn for a spot.

Depth options are Reid Goldsack and Magden while we wait for kelly to develop and Shaz to return. Mihocek is a premiership vfl chb too.

Early days but roughy is Playing his role ok so far and is easily first choice.

It was a great moment aided by his opponent being asleep at the wheel and arrogantly taking a bounce.

But it’s not an argument either way whether he should be in the team thus week.

Shuey was asleep because he was in the clear, until Varcoe (starting at least 20m behind him) put in the effort for what most players would’ve thought was a pointless chase and nailed him.

Maybe Stephenson is the only other player in our team to chase like that, not many others in the whole league would’ve put in that effort as 99/100 it would likely have been a waste of effort.

That’s the point I was trying to make, he chases like that all game, sprinting at a player he’s not likely to get too. Most other players jog towards an opponent as a token effort. Varcoe goes hard at them. Plenty of players run that hard offensively going forward, hardly any run like that defensively.

That’s why he should be in the team because he does stuff off the ball which no other player does.

Against Medium Size FF that is a Possibility but he getting on in Years and Have Injuries.

Doubt Goldsack be good against the Tall KPF's

That’s what Darcy’s for and no club is silly enough to play two 195cm + KPF’s so Goldsack is the alternative and Roughead needs to continue to improve to hold him out, IMO.

If we’re providing context let’s add back the one Lynch dished off to Higgins and Hawkins to Selwood. Steady is the highest praise he should be receiving ATM, not fantastic!
