Did anyone watch it tonight? I did and will watch it again. It was an entertaining enough hour.

According to that, Hammerheads got 64% of the vote.

I thought it wasn't bad, only complaint is that I rang to vote for their name & the competition was closed, hello people, WA is 3 hours behind, next time keep the phone lines open long enough for us to vote.

I wanted to vote for Wombats, that is such a cute name.

Its of interest to me as Fitzroy Reds are having a hitout against them this Sunday.

I hopped on line and voted for Hammerheads, as it seems to be the rarest footy nickname of the 3.

I was gonna go down and try out for that thing at Colonial, but didn't cause it was like 35 degrees or something.

The side then enters some second division league and plays a season.

Quite enjoyed it and i'll watch it regularly.

Don't worry, I just found that The Club is "Premiering" on Monday night at 11:15pm in Brisbane on Channel 7.

One of my mates Ben from Junior Footy (up to 15's) got in as one of the three people from WA selected.
I havent seen him around for quite a while at uni and stuff so I think he got into the final 30.
Not too sure though ... should be interesting to see who gets in.

Does anyone follow a side in the WRFL in division 2, and if so, will you change, and support the Hammerheads? I go for the Coburg Districts football club, and I will continue to do so this year.

By the way, I loved the show.

It was a good show with its tounge firmly in cheek, "the Club" is based on an english show, where ITV or channel 4 (one of them) did the same thing but with an excisting soccer club in non-league competition, but it was fun.

I was disappointed that the public didn't go for the Rats or the Wombats because Ararat is called the rats and Lancaster (Murchison's bitter rival) are called the Wombats, but the Hammerheads are a good name nehter the less.

I took the other tack, voting for Hammerheads BECAUSE Rats and Wombats are more common than Hammerheads.

Ararat are actually called the Gason Rats ... a sponsorship thing ... yep its spread to the country.

i liked it... it was strange... not exactly what i expected.. but some of those perth boys ...
anyway yeah.. hwat do you all think of women maybe being allowed to play?
personally i have no problem with women playing footy... but i do have a problem at that level playing WITH and AGAINST guys...
but on the personal side of the show it could make it a little more interesting... and ifi they do have girls it should be because they are god enough at footy.. not coz they look good

I couldn't imagine the league allowing the girls to play, as they'd be setting a precedent without going through VCFL or whatever they'd have to go through to make the change.

Whether or not its a good or bad idea, whether or not its a just cause, the WRFL simply don't have the right to make the call.

Yeah it was alright. Not bad for a laugh. I didn't vote but I would have gone for the WOMBATS! I think Hammerhead sharks are ugly, lol.

Swampy was scary. Anyone hear when Hutchie asked the coaches where they would play him and the female coach said "I'd use him as a goalpost."
