Chris Johnson to Carlton?

This thread is about a Melbourne player, i'm here providing my insights, that's why it's a public forum. It seems all those years of your football club being ass-r*ped has got to you.

Shellshock, they call it.

I actually just noticed i was on a yellow from you after that post. Someone is a bit over-sensitive.
And someone has more time to do Christmas shopping.

What I want to know is does he have good disposals and decision making skills?. Because if can add someone with those qualities to our already talented list then GF here we come in 2010. ;)

Not that i've seen alot of him, but what I am hearing around the traps is that he's a pretty neat footballer. Still not sure if he would be in our best 22 anyway.

Jack Watts, Sam Blease, James Strauss, Neville Jetta, Cale Morton, Jack Grimes, Addam Maric, Austin Wonaeamirri, James Frawley, Colin Garland, Ricky Petterd, Nathan Jones, Simon Buckley, Clint Bartram, Matty Bate, Lynden Dunn, Michael Newton, Brock McLean, Colin Sylvia, Brent Moloney & Aaron Davey. All draft 03 or later, but this isn't about Melbourne, it's about Chris Johnson, who is not up to it.

It's a sad future ahead for Melbourne when you put it like that. Of that lot (minus the 2008 draftees who haven't played yet) Nathan Jones, Brock McLean and Garland are the only two I rate, and Brock is the only player capable of becoming a star.

All I can say is... Jack Watts better be good.

Could that improve with better players around him?

I guess so?

Average players (lets use the worst case scenario) are made to look better in good sides.

Im just pointed out, however, that while people talk up his disposal - it's one thing to be a good accurate kick - and another thing to have footy smarts and know where to kick.

If you can master both of those ... you'll do some damage.

This whole Cousins thing is bringing up some strange twists.

What happens if Port Adelaide select Cousins, would Carlton consider selecting Josh Carr?

Carr would be the perfect midfielder for Judd and Co, some pesky inside midfielder that can tag and do all the dirty work.

Isn't he about 90 ??? i don't think he'd fit our youth policy :o

Do you think everyone lives in central Melbourne? For all we know, most of the Carlton players could live closer to Casey then they do to Visy Park.

If travelling 40 minutes to go to work troubles them then they are obvious prima-donnas. I have a good source within the playing group who i speak to once every couple of weeks, and they are very happy with Casey.

And i also think you will find Casey Fields is being used for NAB Challenge matches next year, not to mention Casey is the fastest growing area in Australia, and Melbourne are hitting the community hard, coming up with several great ideas. This is one of them:

A good question. I wonder if Carlton provides feul allowance for their players who live in the outer suburbs to get to Visy Park?

Casey???? isnt it a gasfield or something????

Melbourne's homeground is uglier than Visy Park...And that's with the Heatley Stand and Social Club knocked down.
