Can the cats pull him from all this stuff for a while and let someone like Sando do it?

I noted in an article that Scott feels like he has been doing loads of stuff not related to actual footy.

Surely in his first year he needs all chains lifted.
We are a strong enough, and experienced enough club to cover for him media wise.

I don't disagree with you VC. However, I'm sure the club knows what it's doing and Chris is a strong enough character to say 'no' if he thought it was adversely affecting his coaching'

The things that hit me in relation to the interview were:

1. What a good communicator he is. And how cool and thoughtful too.

2. He said he hoped the Cats would be ahead of the curve as far developing an advanced game plan goes.

2. He has been surprised at how good some of the players he knew little about have shown themselves to be on the track.

3. He'll have a mixture of seniors and youngsters in both teams on Sunday. Not as some teams have chosen to do and have one team stacked with juniors.

4. Still regards us as serious contenders this year.

5. Hopes SS will be packed on Sunday. So get there everyone.

Yeah I know Ammo.

This just resonated with me.

"Given we're not into games yet, the thing that's struck me most is the amount of time I've spent on non-football things."

"Everyone in the club wants their time with you, which is fantastic and I've got to be open to that, but it does take your time away from football. I've got to prioritise."

not a great media performer, which could be a good thing
hope he kills it on the track

sando will be gone soon enough

Thanks Sir Eric

Reckon Chris handles the media quite well. Particularly as he's really a rookie at that part of the gig.

I can't recall Sando doing any media since Chris was appointed. I've read or heard Lappin and Caracella on how we're travelling but not Sando.

Any chance of you saying something positive about the club anytime soon Forrest?

Hardly relevant. Sanderson rarely fronts the media pack any way. From what I have seen, he's good enough in front of the media.

IF...if...Sanderson goes it will probably be a direct swap for Mark Neeld.

May not be a bad thing.

Agree with that :thumbsu:

Frankly, I don't think either Sando or Neeld will become senior coaches at the elite level.

I wouldn't mind having someone in our camp with an intimate knowledge of the way the Flagpies go about their preparation and game day strategies. That said, Blake should have given us that insight. Emphasis on the 'should'!!!

Yeah but the pies may not have been doing the same things between 08-09 as they did between 09-10. I can't remember when exactly he left Collingwood for us, but they may not have talked tactics extensively prior to his departure.
