Not even close to an elite disposer of the ball. He has tidy skills, certainly. Not even comparable with a Houlihan or Yarran though.
Since he came to Carlton he's a hell of a lot closer to that level than people give him credit for. Not even close? You're well wrong there.

Well we'll have to agree to disagree on that one then. On exposed form (juniors and AFL) he has ok disposal, but I'd honestly list it as one of his biggest weaknesses.

Coming in from juniors it was adequate but not exceptional and it seems some are finding it hard to let go of that but apart from some nervous errors in the first half of his debut his disposal has been absolutely brilliant.

I honestly haven't noticed marked improvement in his disposal, at least not to an elite level. As I said he's a neat kick, but I do find it a massive stretch to say he is close to Goddard/Hurn/Houlihan level.

Well, take a look over his games from last year and I think he was. Yarran shanked plenty more in the early Brisbane game than Lucas ever did.

Take it to the Lucas Thread please

Mate, bugger off. Plenty of these threads are filled with non-footy related stuff.

There have been quite a few differing opinions on how well Yarran played during the Intra-club match.

Some say he played poorly and others say he played brilliantly. Take from that what you will but I'm more inclined to believe he played more better than worse.

He seemed to keep Betts reasonably quiet while providing plenty of silky drive from the backline.

That's my summarised take on it anyway.

It's hard to judge a player in 15 minute quarters in an intra club. I think he played okay, did some nice things and his skills were top notch. I would have liked to see more run and taking the game on (only did this once I believe).

On the defensive side of things I didn't really see Eddie get that much of the pill so he must have done a reasonable job. All the articles I have read mention that Yarran played well.

Loved his grandfather's emotion...reminded me a lot of my late grandpa and can now see why he was going to WA soo many times.

I hope all the CFC boys watched the doco :thumbsu:

Trending topic on twitter, ie. Lots of people simultaneously using the same keywords.

At the moment the official Twitter trending topics is only for USA so it's usually #JustinBieber or #MiscStupidSh*t that you see on the side of the page...there are ways to find what is trending in Aus though :thumbsu:

The pride in his grandfathers eyes was brilliant. Good to see him with his carlton shirt and scarf on as well.
