Oh shit.

An internal player dispute at Geelong could further cloud Mitch Clark's future at the club.

It has emerged that the troubled forward fell out with teammate and club leader Mitch Duncan following a sledging incident at a VFL game.

Duncan is understood to have confronted Clark after being told that Clark had made disparaging comments about his partner to her brother, senior listed Hawk Teia Miles.

The on-field sledge occurred at Simonds Stadium three weeks ago and prompted a confrontation between the two opponents. Duncan, who is part of Geelong's leadership group, later became aware of the comments.

Two ways of looking at it I guess:

1. Really stupid by Clark. Even if it's settled between them it's not a good look (at best) and could have consequences for the cohesiveness of the group and Clark's future (at worst).

2. They resolved it. Nothing to see. Move on.

Let's hope it's the latter.

Relevant para:

Officials are understood to have confronted Clark about the incident after training on Monday and that a subsequent investigation saw them satisfied that the two players had dealt with the issue internally. It is understood that while some lingering concern remains among the Geelong hierarchy regarding the sledge itself the Cats were satisfied the matter between the two players had come to a close.

So it's good for opposition players like Frawley to get into Clark heat of moment...but notso when the Duncan's gf brother is on the end of it. Grow up mitch Duncan!

Complete non-story. It has been dealt with professionally and we don't need to worry about it. Is it so surprising that there are sometimes conflicts between 40 testosterone-filled personalities cooped up together?

I assume you meant 'grow up Mitch Clark' and not Duncan.

In no way is Duncan in the wrong here.

People make mistakes but I hope the club takes some action on this. Understand it's apparently been 'dealt with' between Duncan and Clark. I'd be happy to make Clark have a week off.
Making those comments could help the decisions at the end of the year about contracts.

Considering this was dealt with by Clark and Duncan without any input from the club needed, I'm not sure how this is a story. Blokes at clubs have disagreements at clubs all the time, if it's sorted out between themselves as adults there is no issues

Nah grow up mitch Duncan!

Seriously? So you'd be comfortable if a colleague of yours said nasty things about your girlfriend, wife, sister or mother behind your back?

No. I'd be tempted to give them a left hook. Wouldn't but would be very tempted.
