Did Clarko have his heart opened up, by North, like Rossco has by the Saints?

Exactly..Surely most failed coaches also went through a process though![]()

The Grant Thomas days. It was good to watch. Even Riewoldt has said that it was the most fun time in his career. So long as Lyon plays attacking footy, I'd like to see him do well at the Saints, hopefully win a flag.
If instead he goes for the dour 'keepings off', role players across the field mitigating the opposition gameplan...
...then **** him. Hope he fails to make finals three years in a row and gets unceremoniously turfed
It would be good to see an attacking Saints side again. The mid-00s to ~'10 produced some good footy at times.
Do you remember when the Saints were flying? It was pretty fun to tune in on Friday nights for a while there![]()
Both treat women terribly.
What I'm reading here is that they are big fans of the transgender communityTo be fair, I think they treat men terribly too…
Always have to make it about the women. Both treat women terribly.
What was Lyon’s last three years at the Dockers like, because Clarkson’s at Hawthorn certainly weren’t great in hindsight.
Well having a number of meetings is a process of some sort is it not . You know people do get headhunted for jobs it’s not like it’s a unheard of processIt would be piss funny if now, as it looks, he's close to getting the Saints gig, and then the board says to him, we just need you to go through a process.
In 09 and 10 st kilda averaged 100 points a game so it’s a bit of a misconception that Lyon was a purely a defensive coachSo long as Lyon plays attacking footy, I'd like to see him do well at the Saints, hopefully win a flag.

Wasted years he was a below average coach he had better teams then Lyon hadThe Grant Thomas days. It was good to watch. Even Riewoldt has said that it was the most fun time in his career.
Which will have to give up their position in shame first for their treatment of women/indigenous players?
Both s**t people who shouldn't be in the game anymore. Do better, AFL, and remove these parasites' coaching licences. Show some respect to women and indigenous Australians.
We beat you this year, didn't you win the premiership? Did North beat Geelong? 2 years ago we played finals, beat Dogs and lost to Tigers.Saints are the furtherest club from a flag in the comp. Roos ahead of them by 2 years since the Saints think their list is good enough to play finals. Even if they fluked it, they still have to do a full rebuild.
They are both a lot better coaches then brad Scott so what’s that tell youThey'll both suck.
Do you realise in 09 and 10 st kilda averaged 100 points a game in those seasons but of a misconception that Lyon was extremely defensiveBoth Lyon and Clarkson are defence first coaches (Lyon to an extreme).
They may both need to adapt to modern offensive football.. and that will decide a lot.

"In hindsight" for Hawthorn fans. Certainly not for others who at the time were pointing out how badly Clarkson was destroying that list because of his own ego. What was Lyon’s last three years at the Dockers like, because Clarkson’s at Hawthorn certainly weren’t great in hindsight.
Big question marks on both these guys being able to loosen the shackles and play the attacking footy of today’s game when they both loved defensive/tempo footy so much.
Its just ironic that Essendon fans are on a thread mouthing off about two coaches that rejected them you should be happy though you got your fifth choice option as coachSince when was this a discussion about Scott?
Not talking about the list. Talking about the coaching."In hindsight" for Hawthorn fans. Certainly not for others who at the time were pointing out how badly Clarkson was destroying that list because of his own ego.
