Re: cloke

Cloke will get one or 2 (was very dumb, no reason to do it whatsoever, didn't have a great night).

Jack will get off.

Nobody else has anything to worry about.

Re: cloke

Silly by Cloke, considering 3 of our next 4 are the toughest matches heading into the finals.

I'm hoping he only gets 2 and will be back for Carlton.

Re: cloke

Could Daisy go for his Punch ?
I'd say reprimand at worst for Daisy, it was only a low impact jumper punch.

Hopefully the MRP deem it to not have enough force behind it to be reportable.

Cloke 2-3, Anthony 2-3 is my guess, but with the MRP, who knows.

Re: cloke

Anthony is up on 2 possible chargers one would think. Will go for the one where the port player is over the ball... May go for the one in the air too as he hit very very high...

Cloke will go for 2 most likely.

Fraser to play permanent CHF and Brown to continue second fiddle ruck... Give him a go at making it his own without the pressure of have to ruck.

Anthony out for Maxwell..

I tell you what, its nice to have the captain be a forced change but we will really miss cloke.

Re: cloke

Fair enough, he hasn't been in the greatest of form, Clokey, but he'll be missed against the Saints. His form in recent times against them has been pretty good, averaging around 10 marks and 15 possessions against them. Could've used him leading up the field and directing it inside 50.

Re: cloke

I am not to sure if it was in the third or fourth quter but he pumped a port player head high and he fell to the ground, with the MRP these days he will probs get done as well. With him,Cloke and Jack out we will really struggle to match it with the Saints.

I think Pendle might be ok because he turned his body and cleanly picked up the ball. When I first saw it I thought that he could cop a week and what scared me a little is the fact that the bump made contact before he picked up the ball.

I think Anthony will cop a couple for his first incident and may cop one week if he made contact to the head on his second (not sure if he hit the head or high up on his shoulder- but his headbutt last year may haunt him). The only thing that may half save Anthony is David Hille being let of three times for simliar/worse incidents.

Cloke's was silly. You shouldn't do stupid stuff like that. Unfortunately I think he'll go. Daisy, reprimand at worst.

Re: cloke

JAs' was very similar to the one where Hille hit Bartel and got off, but JA wasn't actually looking at the player like Hille was. Maybe a 1 week job for that one. The other incident, he looked to me like he made initial contact to the upper back and slid up to his head with that bump. Not real heavy impact with this one, for a supposed head high bump.

He'll get dropped for Maxy anyway with Josh coming in for Trav and playing Ruck/Forward.

Pendles & Daisy nothing to worry about.

Trav as I've said before will get 1 to 2 weeks. Silly thugish play.

Re: cloke

Pendulbury is in bigger trouble then Jack for his bump in the last quter. There have been similar incidents to his in the past that have got 2 games. Cloke i rekon will get 3 and Jack a reprimand or a week. We need at least Jack to get off for the saints game. Bloody hell it had to be for the Saints game.

Was thinking that when I saw it.

Not so sure he'll get weeks tho, its worth 100 pts plea it down and play next week.

Re: cloke

Hopefully Trav will get a week or two at most......double that if his dad goes into bat for him

Yer he has a good record as well so hopefully that helps him not miss a week. Sadly, Cloke and Jack have been suspended during the last 2 season so Cloke will deffs get a couple and Jack maybe 1, that cant be reduced. Its just disapointing this happens for an important game for us.

Re: cloke

The footage of Trav I saw this morning from behind looks like he gets him at the base of the neck. If that's what it is I wonder if they can argue that it's not high contact

Re: cloke

With not a great amount of footage of the incident, you would think evidence from the umpire will be important. Do they still take evidence from the player? Any chance the Port player could testify that he got hit in the neck as was mentioned before?

And whoeever said the SFS was 'trying' to get Thomas suspended, last time I checked no one on that show is on the MRP. Whether the SFS shows the incident 100 times or 0, and makes 50 comments or none, the MRP will still review the incident themselves and come up with a finding. After Baker copped a few charges for hits that weren't much harder than Daisy's, there's the potential for him to miss a week, although good record will hopefully save him. These days, who knows?

Re: cloke

Its Collingwood players turn to play PLUCKA DUCK. How would anyone know really by the end of the day you could have four players suspended or they could all be cleared no one would know.

Re: cloke

Sunday Footy Show was trying to get Daisy suspended as well :(
As for Trav all I can say is silly silly boy.

disgraceful form on the sunday footy show. unless they showed it later on and i missed it, i didn't see any focus on blake's trip in the last 1/4 v bris that should see him out for at least 2 weeks, or gilbert's rough throw tackle earlier ni the game that should esee him miss at least the same

they said they were comparing daisy's jumper punch to baker's on johnson and that's why they showed it, well i distinctly recall mumford copping 2 weeks earler in the year for a rough tackle that was not as severe as that effected by gilbert on sat night so gilbert's incident should have been highlighted as well in comparison to mumford's. no difference

Re: cloke

Pendles will have no case to answer, was not a "bump" the contact was made going for the ball not really bumping a guy off it.

Trav there isn't much footage but the extended arm / elbow looks bad on the footage. Probably a week or 2 but it's hard to tell when there isn't really great footage.

Daisy, well if Grant got of for not having enough impact for suspension after making a player spit up blood then Daisy should have nothing to worry about. It was stupid none the less.

Jack is line ball but I am guessing he will get weeks it was careless more then wreckless but it's been made pretty clear that when your intention is to lay a hip and shoulder the duty of care is on you.

Re: cloke

Didn't think there was too much in Cloke's "strike". I've watched the replay of the incident a few times and fail to see the "high contact". It was more a shove than anything IMO. Boak got straight up from it too.

Jack will probably miss for his first incident. It was unlucky as he was not going for the bump, rather was just trying to get his body across that of the on-coming opponent. Nothing intentional but may miss a week for being reckless. His second incident is all clear for mine.

Remember this is the MPR and they can come up with Anything
